Release 39 Patch Notes: February 24, 2017

Another game patch has made its way to Release 39! In addition to the patch notes, How to Play instructions on this release are available at shroudoftheavatar's website.

  • Modified handle on lich axe to be straight so it matches other axes.
  • In Blood River, Edvard gives clearer instructions when greeted without a sword.
  • Improved flow of journal/task entries in Blood River when Edvard asks you to find the bonesteel dagger.
  • Fingers Slate no longer gives incorrect directions in Blood River when greeted without a sword.
  • Combat effects now require line of sight in more situations.
  • Chaotic Clone now correctly copies the caster's body.
  • Umbrella now stays equipped while performing sit emote.
  • Trails in VFX will no longer be left behind when the effect ends.
  • Ant and Ants cloaks no longer hover over shoulders.
  • Unnamed blacksmith supplier in Ardoris now has a proper name.
  • Minerva in Aerie no longer wanders into her own cooking fire only to die horribly.
  • Simone von Eglinger in Ardoris now properly gives feedback when her quest is finished.
  • Emma in Soltown will properly highlight when participating in Japeth's poem quest.
  • Fixed inaccurate Points of Interest in Blood River.
  • When the Broadcast Automated Phonograph is empty the music now defaults to built-in scene music
  • Avatars will no longer turn back around when getting up from chairs.
  • Glowing White Dye on Epic Cloth Armor has been toned downed.
  • Removed mesh collider from  general bust deco so that it can be placed at any rotation.
  • An issue that may have prevented renaming some NPC pets or summons has been corrected.
  • Ardoris navmesh updated.
  • ChainLighting, Discharge, EarthQuake, Lighting, and Obsidian Arrow have had their damage bonus for Str or Dex moved from being linear to being based on the Sqrt of the value, like most other elements.  The change in math will mean that those with a Strength under 100 for Earth spells or Dexterity under 100 for Air skills will see an increase in damage.  Those with stats over 100 will see diminishing returns on damage bonus.
  • Corrected an error with dramatic ambient music not turning off when required.
  • Fixed a stuck spot in Upper Fortus.
  • Multishot improvements: after significant play testing, multishot is finally getting a much needed rework.  Previously it picked up to 8 targets in the forward arc and each had a 75% chance to get hit by one full damage arrow.  The new version picks up to 8 targets in the forward arc and each will get hit 0-3 arrows, on average, each will get hit by 2 arrows and each will do 75% of melee damage. The net result is on no armor targets, this will double the effective damage.  On high armor targets, this will likely still do significantly more damage.  To compensate for the significant improvement in power of this shot, the cool down time is being moved from 6/12 to 10/20.  Also, Arrow usage chance is now 12 but now Ammo Scavenger chance will apply to help reduce arrows.  Previously it did not.
  • Fixed mask on female avatar during Macarena animation to fix upper body.
  • Discharge and Lightning sounds linked to sliders.
  • Shogun home lights and other SFX added.
  • Watcher enemy electricity attack now linked to volume slider.
  • Fixed a Central Brittany stuck spot.
  • Fine oak furniture updates.
  • Made sure Village Lot in Spite was at the proper ground level.
  • Healing spells SFX updated.
  • The old poison potion will now work as a consumable to poison your weapon.  To use it, just put it in your combat bar or utility bar.
  • Added two Chaos resurrection icons along the Upper Fortus river, and added several ladders and stairs in the bandit town to help them navigate their home
  • Fixed a minor error with the Upper Foruts elevator.
  • Crafted items with material overrides will now render correctly when equipped in the left hand.
  • Spawning from lunar rifts now uses the correct animation
  • Auto attack will only attack a breakable until it is broken.
  • Darkstarr Blood and Clasped Gauntlets cloaks no longer have missing override materials
  • Apply pooled experience to Poison Weapon when a Poison Potion is used.
  • Brittany Fields bed are no longer out-of-reach.
  • Castle Stone Arena Basement and Keep Stone Arena Basement now have lamps in the stairwells and entrances turned on by default.
  • A fix for the female avatar magic dance.
  • K'Kong stats corrected and giving a more worthy loot bundle.
  • Improved combat text performance.
  • Stealing from the stall in Kiln will now be considered a crime and adversely affect one's Virtue.
