Release 43 Patch Notes: July 5, 2017


  • Fixed some weapons appearing pink.

  • Fixed name inconsistency with Summoning Whistle Necklace recipe.

  • Robert Villines in Blood River, and Edvard in Solace Bridge, will now recognize if you have finished their quests.

  • Adjusted skeleton spawner groups in ruins in Sequanna.

  • Robert Villines no longer generates error messages during final conversation in Blood River Massacre.

  • Removed the collision from several troublesome roots in Brookside: that were making players stuck who tried to climb on them.

  • Added extra resurrection ankhs and chaos icons to Etceter Crag Mines.

  • Wealthy Merchant Boots no longer are A8clipping on avatars.

  • Fixed a bug that caused skill levels to be blank on the skill tree.

  • Athard in Demig's Battle Camp will now properly interrupt avatars visiting the camp.

  • Fixed Magical sparkling dye in secondary dye channel making the entire Epic Cloth outfit sparkle.

  • Players moving to crafting stations on lots should now operate smoother.

  • Demig in Demig's Battle Camp no longer force-closes conversation.

  • Failing to socket a gem no longer destroys the gem.

  • Ferig om Ferig's Battle Camp no longer force-closes conversation.

  • Added container scripts to renaissance bed when placed as a decoration.

  • Removed white glowing orbs from fire VFX in Highvale Village.

  • Corrected the overbright lighting on Character Creation Mirror interface.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the Nearby Players window to be shown instead of the PvP Stats window in PvP zones.

  • Fixed a stuck spot on the terrain in the Vigilante Camp in Blood River Outskirts.

  • Fixed a lighting issue in Savrenoc Stronghold.

  • Fixed a stuck spot in Verdantis Mines.

  • Fixed an error with a ladder in Vertas Pass.

  • Fixed low-health indicator appearing on first map load.

  • Restored moons and weather-based clouds to skies of Eastreach Gap, Southern Grunvald Barrens, Northern Grunvald Barrens, Savrenoc Timberland, and Brisach Maple Forest.

  • Updated water triggers in Graff Gem Mines to allow NPCs to pass through water.


Known Issues

  • Loading into scenes with previously opened/opening gates may display them in broken states, preventing players from using them.

  • The zombie emote does not produce the expected dance.

  • Players may experience combat lag when playing in scenes with others.

  • Disabling cloth physics may result in capes/cloaks appearing completely flat, rigid, and disconnected from the Avatar's body

  • It is currently difficult to find harvest resources in scenes with the Surveying skill. This will be revisited after a VFX review of this system.

  • The dread artifact Heart of Sorrows is currently held awkwardly by avatars.

  • Attempting to use stealth skills in the vicinity of undead corpses may prevent the spell from working.

  • Using the /drink or /toast emotes will activate intoxication effects, which results in the Avatar being locked in a walking state for a period of time.

  • Tabbing between targets may select neutral NPCs. Be wary of nearby non-hostiles if using auto-attack while tabbing!

  • Linux: Adjusting shadows may resize the resolution of the game client.

  • Interrupting sheet music with another song may result in the music breaking for remote clients listening.

  • Deleting a character will reset the local settings for the entire client. Other accounts, or offline/online characters will also have their settings reset.

  • Ring of Fire VFX will appear distorted when displayed against walls and water surfaces.

  • Avatars do not go back to idle animations after walking with an instrument being played.

  • The barrier in Etceter Crag Mines has been removed temporarily, there are issues with the primary puzzle triggering the removal.

  • Some decorations placed in basements may shift through walls and end up in inaccessible locations.

  • Chaotic Clone is not distracting enemies.

  • Not all items listed in R43 Instructions are yet in the game or Add On Store

  • Cloaks will often sort through the avatar’s body

  • Some scene instances may be bugged in which it is easy for players to fall through the ground. An existing workaround is to reload the scene.

  • Players may be unable to interact with objects via double-click if their framerate is poor. A workaround is to use the “E” interaction key.

  • Some spell VFX do not play properly

  • Some textures may look incorrect due to optimizations (white, black, pink, low resolution, pixelated, etc.)

  • Rain and Snow is coming through the roof of some buildings

  • Some SFX are not properly tied to the sound volume controls.

  • Water lots in Dynamic Player Owned Towns can currently only be placed along shorelines, not on docks

  • Some cities are experiencing performance spikes

  • Some pledge, add on, and stretch goal items have not yet been built and/or do not yet have tech support.
