Hello everyone, today we are releasing update 0.06 for The Hive called "Ancient Waterway" Our plan for this update was to release more playable content and introduce new AI system for the players. This enables us to make missions where you get more pressure from the opponent, welcome variation to the earlier story heavy missions. There has been a lot of tuning with the new system, making sure the fights still feel fair for the players. Our other plan was to improve gameplay and hotkeys, to make playing the game as smooth as possible.

A.I SYSTEM functions: build base, troops, gather resources, defend, attack, kill switch
New enemy soldier - Chala'toi axeman
New enemy soldier - Chala'toi swordsman
New enemy soldier - Chala'toi worker

Chala'toi buildings now have portrait and can be destroyed
Chala'toi buildings set on fire when damaged
Insectoid buildings can now be destroyed
Artifact now has portrait
Workers now make sound when you issue commands
Units no longer get stuck on slopes
A.I now changes target to closest enemy if kited
A.I improved
Game now properly saves after each completed level
You can no longer attack own units
Medic now has longer heal radius and cant spam heal
Resurrecting units using Hive now costs 5 food, down from 10
Camera elevation bug fixed
Lava Golem cutscene bug fixed
You can now hear Advisor warning lines on every map (food, resource, popcap)
You now need to defeat more Chala'toi commanders on third level
Loading screen tips now show more revelant information
Pressing "F1" now finds and selects idle workers
Pressing "T" now issues attack move
Pressing "shift+paint" now selects more units to excisting squad

The Hive is new story-driven fantasy game. Assume control as the Insectoid Hive mind. Captivating back-story and a beautiful visual design takes the player to a fantasy world, which offers new surprises and challenges as the game progresses.

Story

Through strong storytelling and a broad world, Hive offers the player a diverse exploration ground. Having many different endings and possibilities, the player can create their own unique route, strategy, and story.

The World

The barren and deserted surface of planet Eden hides springs full of life underground. Travel through ancient temple cities, sunken ruins, desert oasis, swamps, volcanoes and underground fountains, facing the dangers of the environment, floods and other species.

Visual Look

The calming serenity of the blooming springs, the aggressive heat of volcanoes and the ruins holding a story of a sad history make up the world of Hive. Filled with exotic animals, plants of varying sizes and little details like colorful fish swimming in the springs and hieroglyphs in the ruins, this game offers a wide and interesting visual look while combining many different styles of environments and eras.
