Several of you reported that new update brought a critical bug: game was not saved on exit. Oof! Thanks to your reporting (especially 4RT1F1C1AL who provided an exact source of problem on discussion page), we could catch the Steam Cloud bug and fix it with this new update. If you've already started the game and some of the progress was erased - sorry, and feel free to use one of these cheatcodes to get back to action a bit faster:
comphello
- to complete most of the first world
compunplug
- to complete most of the second world Once again, sorry for all the troubles and thanks for reporting! Ivan and Eva
Hello! Nothing too extreme here, mainly dealing with visual bugs. Glad everyone is enjoying the game!
Hello, fellow detourists! Thank you so much for playing Robot Detour in the first days, streaming and reporting bugs! The release went almost smoothly... at least without any major bugs. But still, there is always something to fix and to make better! Here is our first patchnote: - fixed stunlock if you complete a level and touch enemy at the same time - added missing strings for localizations (they were displayed in English before) - navigating through map now always correctly moves the screen to desired page - patched unintended solutions on levels 30, 69 and 84 - added third hint on level 21 - fixed battery behaviour on secret level in Arcade world - fixed opening latter levels after using "skip Arcade world" button - fixed rare bug when after breaking the game it starts operating in slow-mo That's, of course, not all! We are still working on a couple of bugs and will fix them in the next update (specifically a bug where "undo" after death triggers twice for some people). Also expect some minor visual polish (with antialiasing) and being able to open pause menu on death screen. We are also thinking through some of the suggestions and will address them in the nearest future (like cloud saves or an option to drive faster by default). Thank you again for your enormous support during launch! You are the best.
Hello, players! Sorry we didn't communicate that much trrough Steam announcements, we were too busy finishing the game. When the Studio is just two people, there is not much management you can do...
Anyways. Robot Detour is finally finished and out! Last year was a wild ride for the game and our studio, but we did our best to make this game shine.
Just to name a few things about the final game:
- 88 levels in 6 worlds with completely new mechanics each time
- 3-4 hours for completing the game
- robust undo mechanic
- even more accessibility options in form of hints and ability to skip the dexterity part of the game
- hand-drawn opening comic
- the amount of polish we didn't even know this game could handle
- localisation to 12 languages
- perfect difficulty and unhinged fun mechanics
Hope you'll have a good time with our debut game. Looking forward to your reviews, and see you in Steam Discussions!

Several playtesters tried Robot Detour on Steam Deck, and it can be easily completed from start to finish without any problems! Somebody needed to update Proton to the latest version, but that's about it. Feel free to test the game for yourself and post updates in the comments! We don't have hardware to test on, but well try to address what we can.
So, what do we have here...
- Fixed "undo" reverting to blocks stuck in the middle of animation - Fixed broken pause/settings navigation - Fixed unintended route in level 8 - Fixed SFX setting not affecting some sounds - Fixed robot movement during pause menu Hopefully that's all breaking changes! Next update will be about some smaller fixes, and then I'll work on "quality of life things" like infinite undo. Till later!
Hello Steam community! I am still not familiar with how "the stuff is done" here, but I know for sure that:
- we made a public demo for Robot Detour
- It has [almost] no game-breaking changes, the experience is pretty smooth
- I should initiate this contact with you
Our whole team is very glad to see all the reception, feedback and new people. We are glad you are enjoying the demo!
Expect several small fixes over the next days (we are just a couple of people working on the game in their free time), and I look forward to talking to you again soon. Till later!
