As the year comes to an end, I wanted to share a final look at where Delicards is, whats been cooking behind the scenes, and where the game is headed next.
Delicards started as a small idea: what if cooking itself was a card game?\nOver 2025, that idea has slowly turned into a playable, strategic, cozy experienceand Im excited to say the foundation is now in place.
Throughout 2025, the focus has been on building solid core systems rather than rushing content.

Development & Release Plan
I am super excited to have launched this page, along with the Discord channel. Releasing this game has been a dream of mine since early on, as I love Trading Card Games (especially to collect rare and legendary cards) and, ofcourse, cooking!
The plan is to have an Early Access Release sometime in December 2023, following a full release in March 2024.
This is a solo project in which I have invested a lot of passion and love for making games and I want each part of the game to reflect this, that's why I don't want to rush the release, but polish it as best as I can.
The supported platforms are PC, Mac (Intel and M1/Arm) and SteamOS with consoles being planned for later next year.

International Contributions
Since the game focuses on cooking, there is a high variety of recipes and ingredients from all around the world.
Wherever you might be located, you know some local dishes that waters your mouth and brings in that [u]UMAMI[/u] experience.
I want to incorporate as much of international cuisine as possible and don't want to miss out any of the golden "granny" recipes you know, so please join the Discord server and post it under card-ideas channel. Your effort will be rewarded with your name being stated as the card author.
Also, I'm planning to post frequent updates on the progress of the game on the server, so feel free to join and participate in polls, closed betas and play-tests early on (together with contests in which you might win a Steam key).
The 20 updates 'till launch strategy
The way I see it
I'm planning to publish 20 of these Steam updates before the full game release (excluding this one). Each of them will mark a major milestone in the game design and development process I'm working through.
