We are happy to publish Patch 1.0.4 for Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy on all platforms today!
With this patch, players on PC, Xbox and Nintendo Switch will finally be able to play together.

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy Update #2 (Patch v.1.0.4)
Major Fixes / Additions:
- Crossplay added between all of the following platforms in public and private games: All different PC storefronts, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series.
- Virtual keyboard enabled for consoles for password input, allowing private games to support Crossplay.
- Invite feature added (does not support Crossplay!).
- Invites enabled for all consoles, within their own console families.
- In Friend Only games, Steam and Epic overlay supports inviting and joining into ongoing games, as well as inviting into lobby.
- Gog can invite friends into Friend Only lobbies through the invite button only.
- AMD: Fixed flickering shadows for older than RDNA2 cards
- Fixed hosted lobbies sometimes not appearing in the "Browse Games" -list when there were many ongoing games.
- Plugged a memory leak.
- Fixed a rare case where a joining player brought in an extra local player with them.
- Fixed local players spawning off screen in some cases.
- Fixed a case of getting stuck joining a game when player's save slots were full.
- Fixed Quick Join creating new saves, if player already had a save of that game.
- Last used character is now remembered in Classic games if players use a character not default for their player number.
- Fixed being unable to descend a ledge into ledgegrab if standing slightly over the edge.
- Improved ledgegrabbing on sloped terrain.
- Disallowed client having story progress locked skills unlocked, that the host doesn't yet have, if they played the same save further on their own and then join back.
- Fixed "Last player remaining" -effect persisting after disconnecting.
- Fixed a rare crash when controlling another Pontius' Prismatic Talisman.
- Fixed object lock effect persisting on Pontius' thrown sword.
- Fixed some upgrades being able to use incorrect player number for their function.
- Exploding clone no longer deals damage to the final boss through its invulnerability.
- Fixed a sharp camera re-focus after breaking out of the Garden Party Gazebo.
- Pontius breaks laws of physics less and can no longer get out of bounds in the level.
- Prevented starting a fight too early by throwing boxes ahead.
- Gate Guardian nor Tower Guardian can't get stuck anymore to their flamethrower attack if Amadeus shoves a box to their face.
- One less puzzle that can be broken with Wind Burst and cause player to get stuck.
- Fixed broken French localizations for opening cutscene.
- Added a rope target to the bottom of the elevator near the end of level, in case player falls off.
- Fixes and improvements to the Sauna secret.
- Fixed Clockwork Mages causing softlocks by falling off or spawning so that they never teleported back up.
- Fixed overlapping texts in Nintendo Switch's localizations of Czech, German and Japanese.
- Xbox: Fixed an issue that would sometimes cause joining to fail on Xbox.
- PS5: Fixed vibration not working on DualSense controller(s).
- PS5: Fixed Experienced Heroes Achievement not triggering correctly.
- Steamdeck: Fixed and updated on-battery frame rate limit from 30 -> 60 fps.
- FPS limiter is now a slider instead of a text field in Steam Big Picture mode and Steam Deck.

Weve been developing, testing, designing and perfecting this game for quite some time now. About Boreal Blade
They have a saying in Norvalg: Fight for a cause worth dying for. A noble sentiment, but what happens when almost every cause is good enough to die for? Whenever a decision needs to be made whether it is about heading to war or determining where the cheese should go in a sandwich fierce Norvalgian warriors gather in their famous debating arenas, pray for strength from their gods and fight until the truth is uncovered. Are you ready to join the battle? Boreal Blade is a team-based melee fighting game with a focus on player vs player combat and gameplay consisting of both reactive and proactive elements. The game features various weapon types and three distinctive fighting styles, allowing players to choose between two-handed weapons, a shield and a weapon combo, or long thrusting weapons like spears and pikes. Three armour classes with their strengths and weaknesses are also included to guarantee a varied, everchanging fighting experience.
Boreal Blade strikes an excellent balance between realism and gameplay. The game turns away from the rock-paper-scissors approach where weapons and shields matter only when the player presses the corresponding button to use them for attacking or blocking. Actually, there is no block button at all, but the passive blocking featured in the game allows players to block attacks by simply positioning themselves wisely and timing their attacks with care. Pre-determined attack key combinations and complex counter moves have been abandoned in favour of the beautiful simplicity of only a single attack button - and hundreds of ways to variate every attack. Players can move their weapon and character around freely, turning an attack into a block - and back to another attack just in a blink of an eye. Strikes and blocks meld into a seamless continuity. Weapon movement feels very natural, allowing players to create and modify their signature moves and distinctive fighting styles. More seasoned warriors can spice up their game with dodges, sprints, blocks, powered attacks, feint attacks and weapon throws to confuse opponents and make the battle more unpredictable and exciting. Boreal Blade gives competitive players the chance to hone their prediction of attacks, counter-attacks, timing and the use of different stances to defeat their enemies on the battlefield and to hack them into pieces!

Reactionary and tactical gameplay
- Complete freedom of attack and block direction performed with simple controls, allowing players to concentrate on their battle tactics and series of manoeuvres and to control the flow of the battle.
- There are hundreds of ways to variate attacks and players have complete freedom to move the weapon and character around, encouraging them to experiment and find the fighting style that suits them best.
Four multiplayer game modes
- Players can charge into combat together with their clan mate warriors in Team Deathmatch and Boreal Battle modes where two teams go up against each other.
- Boreal Claim mode consists of two teams who take turns attacking or defending a banner against the other team. In Deathmatch it is everyone for themselves the first warrior to get 20 kills wins the match!
Four different fighting styles
- Hundreds of weapons, shields, pieces of armour and battle items for developing customized fighting styles and battle tactics.
Detailed character creation and game world
- Create your warrior and choose their equipment, accessories and weapons and customize their appearance with jewellery, facial hair and armour dyes.

Starbase is an MMO with a fully destructible environment and a multitude of fine-detailed simulations that allow you, the players, the ultimate freedom to conquer space and unleash your creativity. Has-Been Heroes is a roguelike game developed by Frozenbyte in partnership with GameTrust, and it's now available on Steam for all regions! The game is also available for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One in North America. The release for other regions is slated for early next week on April 4th.

ABOUT SHADWEN
Shadwen is a stealth-action game where the only rule is to remain unseen. Stay hidden – or the ruthless guards will kill you on sight! Shadwen, an assassin on a quest to kill the king, has a chance encounter with an orphaned girl, Lily. It’s been an amazing few months for our first 3D Trine game, and we’ve learned a lot in this time. On behalf of all of Frozenbyte, I’d like to thank everyone who participated and helped us with your feedback. We’ve come a long way since the start of Early Access, and we’ve been cooking up some neat changes in the past couple of months after the latest update.
As we mentioned on the Steam Store page, the price of the game will go up once Early Access ends, from $19.99/19.99€ to $21.99/21.99€. We’ll also be adding the awesome soundtrack by Ari Pulkkinen to the package.
The Linux and Mac versions are underway and we’ll hopefully have something to show soon!

Great news! :) Update v0.07 is now out and this time it's a major content update. Included are two new levels - the third Story Level and a new Challenge Level.
The Story level takes the players inside the mystical Astral Academy, where strange magic has taken control of inanimate objects. The Challenge Level this time is for Amadeus and it's called "A Wizard's Nightmare".

In addition to the new content, we’ve been working on several major gameplay changes as well, namely related to checkpoints and resurrection. We’ve had feedback during Early Access saying that the combat has been too easy and we agree, so instead of just making monsters hit harder or increase their numbers, our design went back to the drawing board.
The result is that checkpoints now only store level progression, and no longer resurrect players. Instead, if one of the heroes dies, you’ll have to reach their spirit with one of the other heroes that are still alive to resurrect them. In combat this takes a longer time, so you might have to fend off enemies to save your fellow companions. This opens up a lot of new possibilities for very cool and more difficult fights.
The visual effects for resurrection and the spirits are not finalized yet, but we’d love to hear feedback on the new system and the added levels. :)
We've also received lots of feedback about the character outfits in the Unlimited Mode and tutorial levels when playing in co-op. We've now added different coloured outfits for the Trine Heroes to be used when more than one people is playing the same character, and we hope that this will make playing together online easier and more fun when all players are able to instantly tell their characters apart from the others based on their outfit colors.

We just released update #5! We added three more example levels to the level editor and one concept level to the game's main menu, so check them out! I also recommend playing through the existing levels again, since you might run into something... or someone new. ;) Other updates include multiple fixes and improvements to both the editor and levels, so hopefully they should also run smoother now.

Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight, and Zoya the Thief have slowly come to the conclusion that having their lives commandeered by a powerful magical artifact is not a desirable state of existence on a permanent basis.
The heroes try to return their extraordinary gifts to the Artifact called Trine, and so they meddle with powers beyond their understanding: Trine shatters and a heartless ancient sorcerer escapes. With only a broken artifact to guide them, the heroes must try and repair the damage they've caused... or the damage that might yet be done.
A married wizard and father of triplets, Amadeus can summon mystical boxes and move obstacles with his spells. Perhaps he is not the most skilled or fearsome of wizards, but the heroes rely on Amadeus on all things concerning magic and legends. Amadeus has always liked adventures more in theory rather than in practice, preferring the fame and tales of his deeds to the actual doing of said deeds, which often deprive him of naps and holidays with his family.
The brave protector of the realm with a big heart, Pontius is a champion to anyone in need, regardless of their station. Pontius was knighted by the King himself, and he has a red cape to prove it! He is a frontline hero who is always going headlong first into battle with his trusty shield and sword. In addition to passionately fighting on the side of Goodness and Justice, Pontius has an equal love for good food and drink, and dreams of one day settling down on a simple farm, where he could protect his corner of the world, while growing enormous potatoes and pumpkins. And eat pie.
Clever and elusive, Zoya gets in and out of tricky situations all the time. She brings her bow and arrows to a fight, but she also has a grappling hook that can be useful in various thiev... situations. Zoya appreciates all the adventures she has had with with Trine, due to all the trinkets she's been able to collect on the way, but she is becoming anxious to get back on her own. Being on call for Trine is nowhere near as thrilling as her old life as a purveyor of rare and precious items.
Online and Local Co-op
