Dungeon improvements
With this update, we've made lots of changes to the first dungeon, from the visuals to the puzzles. Without spoiling you too much, you can also expect some new environmental props and pieces, as well as spooky moments!
Better balancing
Based on recent feedback we received, we've also made the dungeon leaner by reducing the enemy encounters, and lowered the difficulty of the boss.
Localization & bug fixes
This release also comes with localization improvements in French and Simplified Chinese, as well as minor bug fixes.

New features
The biggest changes introduced in this release are the new difficulty modes. Difficulty modes have been built as an accessibility setting, and as such they can be set when starting a new game or at any point (except in combat) from the options pause menu.
The game currently has 3 difficulty modes: - Dream: Your damage output is increased, enemies attack slower and their most challenging attack patterns are disabled. We recommend this option to players who want to enjoy the story with a more relaxed experience. - Reality: Difficulty settings as Dreamed Away was designed and intended. We recommend this option for your first time playing the game. Expect some challenge! - Nightmare: Enemy attacks are faster and more dangerous. For players who thought 'Reality' wasn't a challenge. Expect to struggle as enemies will hold nothing back.
Other new features & improvements
But that's not all! We brought in some of the latest changes from the full game in this build: - Newly-found equipment pieces will be equipped automatically, if Theo has none on him - New mix of the tracks Walking In The Rain and Home Sweet Home - New portrait assets for Tho - New game icons on all platforms - New skip button added to the credits, allowing for going back to main menu quickly - Pressing Cancel/B during dialogues now fast forwards, without confirming any potential choice
Bug fixes
This update also comes with the following bug fixes: - Fix a collision bug with a plant in the living room - Fix a soft lock when selling all items at a shop - Minor localization fixes And finally, we updated the credits with the names of all the new playtesters who helped balance the new difficulty modes. Im so happy to announce that the Kickstarter campaign for my game Dreamed Away has just gone LIVE!

Were super excited to announce the biggest demo update of Dreamed Away to date! With more than 1400 commits in 2023, the v2 demo release brings all changes and improvements we've made to the game in the last year.
Features
- Collectible drawings
Players can now collect Louise's drawings and browse them from the main menu.
- Redesigned interior sprites
All interiors in the game have been completely redrawn.
Louise's bedroom before and after - Equipped items with 3 equipment slots
New equipment slots from the main menu - New combat mechanics
A lot of changes have been made to the combat system, from balancing to smaller tweaks and bug fixes.
When equipped, some items will modify combat mechanics or stats in various ways.
Also, now when attacking from behind, enemies now get the initiative!
A ghost attacked by surprise! - Better controller support
Players can choose between different button styles and layouts
- Keyboard input remapping Players can now freely remap keyboard controls.
- Footstep sound effects A much requested feature!
- Redesigned menus We have made several improvements to the look and feel of the menu system.
Localization
Thanks to our community of translators, we're happy to announce the support of three new languages:

Bonjour!
We have recently released our demo and today we're coming with another update that brings... French localization! You can now experience Dreamed Away in Tho and Louise's mother tongue! From now on you'll be able to play our demo in both English and French languages. In order to change your language all you need to do is to go to settings> language, just like it's shown on the GIF below!

Dreamed Away is a story-driven action-adventure RPG with dark elements set in France in the 90s. Play as Théo, a boy lost in a mysterious world. Explore a unique reality, duel against darkness and mind your choices.
