Weve gone and done it! Convoy, which came out 5 years ago right here Steam, finally made it to Switch, Xbox and Playstation 4! Thanks to your playtime with Convoy, we were able to make this happen. Thanks again for your support in the last 5 years. The updates weve made to the game to get it running on the other platforms is now available for you as well! Since the Holiday Update we have had a lot of positive responses from the community, and so we decided to add some more stuff to Convoy!

Additionally, to improve the connection between Convoy and Landinar's extended universe, we have also added another bunch of extra content.

Before we dive into the changelog, we would like to talk about the backstory for this update.
We started working on our next game pretty soon after the Convoy release in 2015. Eventually, Landinar: Into the Void was released into Early Access in September 2018. In a wave of enthusiasm to marry the two games and their stories, creating a shared universe between them, our enthusiasm and ambition towards Convoy also started to grow again. No matter how frustrated we could get over this game from time to time, we never stopped loving Convoy.
Our knowledge and abilities have improved immensely over the years, and while we still work hard on Landinar: Into the Void every day, we decided to grab some moments to return to Convoy and present you with this holiday gift. With love, from Convoy Games to you.
Most importantly, we managed to fix some persisting issues which we weren't able to fix in the old Unity engine. We also added some new content and features for you to enjoy over the holidays.

More importantly, the Convoy Sound Track will be released on Steam today! This is long overdue, but it's here at last! We also released the Convoy Soundtrack Edition which includes the game and soundtrack! Hooray! :) The Convoy OST is a full length album containing all 17 songs from the game. There are the 8 ambient tracks, along with the 8 action tracks. The "bonus" credits song is also included! All the proceeds from the soundtrack go directly to the artist since we feel he deserves it more than we do. It's his work, after all. :)

We've just uploaded a new update: v1.1.51! This should resolve the issue for both Mac and Linux users (this issue didn't affect the Windows build). Please let us know if you still experience any problems. We've also set up the "Old_Build" branch to run v1.1.4, so if you still have issues, try that build instead and let us know if that works for you. To switch branch, go to the "Betas" tab in the Steam settings. For those wanting to know what the issue was I'll try to explain it. We have a system that stores game progress such as stats, achievements and unlocks. This system used to write to an xml file (GameStats.xml) every time a stat changed (i.e. fuel was spent by driving on the world map). This caused some issues for Windows users with certain antivirus software. Every time the file was changed, the antivirus software would scan the file. This caused the game to be unable to access the file while it was being scanned. Normally this wasn't really a problem as the scanning process is usually very fast and the file would only be accessed about once per second, but on some hard- and software combinations the file would be inaccessible too long resulting in the game throwing a bunch of errors and all kinds of strange issues. To remedy this problem, we changed the frequency the file would be accessed. Now it is only accessed whenever the game is saved, and all changes in between are stored in memory. This apparently introduced a new bug where on Mac and Linux systems the file would not be created if it didn't exist yet. It took us quite a while to figure out this was the issue since it only affected players who just bought the game. Due to the recent Steam sale, there has been quite an influx of new players so it makes sense that this bug suddenly came up a lot. We initially thought it might have been a driver or OS update that caused this, as all initial reporters had Macbook Pro models with an Intel Iris video chip. This theory was further supported when we tried to reproduce this issue and it was only reproducible on a new Macbook which of course had the Intel Iris chip. It was only when we received some decent error logs from you guys (thanks for that! <3 ) that we figured out what the actual issue was. Note: We've still got some mystery error logs that DO only seem to affect Mac users with Intel Iris chips. So if you still have issues with this new update, please let us know!

- Ingame esc-menu options sliders should now all stick to integers.
- We've made another effort in pinpointing the Access Denied to StatsData.xml error some people have experienced. Again, this is no guaranteed fix and we have some more ideas, but this may help.

In this update we bring you the scenario and unit editor! To use these, you need to first install the free version of Unity 5 (Unity 4.x PRO should also work). Once you have this installed, you need to import the ConvoyEditor + steam.unitypackage file found in game's root folder. Refer to the included documentation for further instructions on how to use the tools and upload mods to the workshop. Additionally, we added 30 new scenarios to the game, including a new main objective! Full changelog: Added:

Hey everyone, We've just uploaded the first test version of the Linux build! Aside from platform, it is identical to the current Win/Mac versions of the game. We've done some internal testing and everything seems to work as intended, however we still feel like we should put it through some field tests before we announce the official release. To be able to install and play the Linux version, you'll need to select the "Linux_Test" branch under "beta" in the Steam properties. We'd love to hear your feedback, and of course tell us any issues you may have!
Hey y'all, we have another update! We've been focusing on getting the ground work done for the DRM-free version, which should (hopefully) launch together with the Linux version later this month. So this time there are no big changes or new content, just a bunch of fixes. Added:
- A fallback achievement popup in case the game cannot initialize Steamworks has been added.
- Two desert road background tiles have been added.
- On Windows, Savegame and Achievement data is no longer stored in the game root folder. This change should hopefully resolve folder read/write access rights issues that some people reported.

This change should not break older savegames!
- Ramming enemy MCVs (miniboss) should now work as intended.
- Vehicle weight tier now checked properly.
- MCV and Boss sway animation now plays correctly.
- Leech Drone exploit has been resolved.
- Game difficulty should no longer stack when restarting a game during the same session.
Here's a quick hotfix for update 1.0.5! Fixed:
- Crash issue when spawning an objective marker has been fixed.
- Scenarios should now load properly when the Boss has spawned on the map.
- Games Lost and Highscore stats now tracked when player dies in a scenario.
- Hitboxes for new special vehicles have been fixed.
We have another update for you guys! Update 1.0.4 was in Beta for a while, but it did not solve all the issues some people had. It also introduced a few new bugs. We decided not to put that build live, and instead focus on fixing all the issues. This means the new version is 1.0.5! It's got quite a few fixes and changes, and some new content in the form of a few new scenarios and some unique units! Added:
- Several units that can be obtained through scenarios have been added.
- Stats and achievements are now also tracked locally. Steam is still leading, this serves as a backup in case Steamworks does not run properly. It is also a requirement for a future DRM-free build.
- Stats screen now also displays achievements!
- The game will now periodically continue to try to connect to Steam if it failed on the first time.
- Adjusted boss Keeper spawns on Easy to have slightly lower tier weapons.
- Adjusted Keeper drone unlock gained after defeating Andy to be slightly less powerful from the start.
- Decreased game size on disk and memory even further.
- Changed the MCV item/slot colour from Green to White to improve visibility for colourblind. -Thanks to user MBroek for assisting us!

- Cancelling upgrades in shop now cancels the stat change in the display as well
- Steamworks should now always initialise as intended, no matter how the game is started.

In this update we have (hopefully) resolved several performance and crash issues people experienced. We've also added a new achievement and unlock that everyone should be able to get, as well as reduced general difficulty and frustrations people experienced, and generally made the game more forgiving on easy difficulty. Added:
- Several new graphics options which should help with performance issues on some system have been added:
- Vsync toggle.
- Car effects – Toggles tire tracks and dust clouds on/off. May help with performance on some systems.
- Pixel perfect – Toggles whether the UI should snap to exact pixels. May help greatly with performance, but may cause UI to become blurry on some resolutions.
- Added a “How to play” screen in ingame esc-menu detailing the basic game rules.
- Added an achievement for completing 20 scenarios in total, with a new unlock! (If you already have completed 20 scenarios before, complete one more for the achievement to trigger)
- Adjusted many scenarios to be less extreme. You should no longer outright lose a unit or lose the game, unless there is ample warning.
- Remapped hotkeys for unit selection and ability selection
- Adjusted the amount of bolt gained on Easy difficulty to be slightly higher, especially early game.
- Scenarios completed stat should now track properly.
- Fixed several typos in scenarios.
- Fixed item generation for units received through events. If you still see units with wrong items in their slots, please let us know!
- Unit animation should no longer move independently from unit position. This occurred frequently on low-end systems and we will keep monitoring the situation.
- If the last enemy falls off a bridge, it should no longer immediately end combat. Enemy units should no longer appear in camps after such an occurrence.
- Reduced memory usage significantly, which should help with a crash issue on lower end systems.
We have a small update with some fixes for issues people were experiencing. Changed:
- Scenario's causing insta-death to units have been adjusted to occur less often and feel less punishing.
- Boss should no longer spawn in new game after losing or winning game.
- Boss should always appear when all objectives are completed.
- Privateer MCV should now have the correct decal.
- Boss weapons should no longer do damage during game pause.
- Camara offset issue in map screen has been resolved.
- Some typos in items have been resolved.
- Some typos in scenarios have been resolved.
- Description of the Turbo item now shows the correct stat.
We’re happy to announce Convoy will be available from tomorrow, April 21, 2015 @ 15.00CET (6AM PST)! When we started working on Convoy in the summer of 2013, we never dreamed of reaching the point where we are now. The enthusiasm we met during and since the Kickstarter campaign last November utterly blew us away. We can’t thank you enough for your support! Though we hoped to release it earlier, we believe the decision to delay it by a few months was the right one. The game really has come a long way! Day -1 patch? Yes! This mostly contains small fixes. We've also added another achievement! Changelog: Added:
- Defeating the dragon will now award an achievement!
- The unlock with T3 raider units now also have an A.I.D. equipped.
- Low Tech achievement now also unlocks if player used ramming.
- Rebalanced several scenarios.
- CarSwap now displays right info.
- Ramming Weapons animation no longer over-extends.
- Ship icon on map no longer blurry on game start.
- Jackpots Won stat now tracked properly.
- Saveing/loading in boss battle no longer breaks the game.
- Camera should no longer offset in Main Menu after large explosions.
This is it! We've made a few more adjustments since 0.9.7, and made sure it works properly. Unless there are any new issues, this will be the version everyone gets to play on Tuesday! Changelog: Added:
- Added a rock formation obstacle that got left out in previous builds.
- Added visual feedback to selected abilities on game pause.
- Changed the Bobcat and Gila variant colours a little.
- Changed the unlock received for defeating the boss to include a Gila.
- Nerfed the Keeper unlock units.
- Fixed MCV HP not displaying correctly.
- Fixed clicking through item/unit swap screen.
- Fixed unit sidebar not updating correctly in map.
- Ramming should no longer be exploitable when target cannot move.
- Attack/move marker should no longer be visible in the main menu after game over.
- Fixed map offset issue causing MCV to be placed in the top-left.
Edit: And for some reason, our builds never seem to work on the first try any more... So for now we've reverted to the old build while we're working on a fix! Another update with more fixes, balance changes and other stuff. This will likely be the last version before 1.0! Aside from gameplay changes and fixes, in this build we've significaltly reduced the game's total size. Where it previously was around 2.1GB, the current build is around 1.4GB. - Added AI for repair drones, these can now also be used by enemies!
- Receiving random damage in a scenario is now a random percentage of unit's current HP instead of a fixed number.
- Adjusted tooltip window width to make tooltips more readable.
- Enemy units can now use more items
- Enemies should no longer be able to equip double abilities or double passive items, preventing extremes such as double-shielded enemies, or double-mine throwers.
- Adjusted map legend to be more clear.
- Increased MCV shield size from 400 to 600 HP.
- Increased Boss HP and AP slightly.
- Adjusted the way score is calculated, and changed the GameOver/score screen to be more clear.
- Saving game during boss battles (miniboss and final boss) should no longer corrupt the save file.
- Bolt and fuel changes text should now appear in the correct location in all resolutions.
- All buttons should now have the correct "click" sound.
- Fixed dust trailes visible in fade.

Presented in pixel art and set in a future post-apocalyptic setting, Convoy is a squad based tactical roguelike-like in its core. You travel with your combat vehicles and convoy across a wasteland to find parts needed to repair your broken spaceship. During your journey you will encounter strangers in randomized scenarios by picking up radio signals.
Depending on the choices you make, signals can either lead to tactical combat, text based dialogue or chance based role-play. Whatever choice you make, you need to keep your convoy and its cargo safe from raiders, privateers and other enemies. Keep upgrading your vehicles, as death is permanent in Convoy.
