Double Action: Boogaloo v1.3.2.1
Weapon sounds should now play under all circumstances. Previously, in bandwidth-limited situations, with low rate settings or with low-end server hardware, weapon sounds didn't get transmitted to all clients. For the longest time, I couldn't reproduce this because I have high rate settings, a fairly good internet connection and I was playing on less than full servers. Thankfully, Dementei found some people who not only could reproduce the issue but also had the knowledge to address it. tl;dr: Weapon sounds work now \o/ (If you still don't hear weapon sounds, make sure you're playing on an updated server)
The official servers have been updated or will be updated once they have drained of players. All other server owners have been notified about this update and will probably update their servers to the new version very soon. The new and old versions are forwards- and backwards-compatible with one another, so you can still play on unupdated servers, but you will not hear *any* weapon sounds on unupdated servers. Client updates are optional (but will happen automatically through Steam anyway). Server owners will most likely need to update manually (but all players can still connect). You will be able to find both old and new servers with both the in-game and Steam server browser. Players can tell whether a server is updated by using the "da_version" command and verifying that the server and client have the same version (comparing the first 4 digits is enough in this case). Servers updated so far:

Double Action is a free stylish multiplayer game about diving, flipping, and sliding your way into action movie mayhem.
Imagine doing a backflip off some dude's face, then diving through a window, gold-plated pistols firing in slow motion. There's an explosion behind you and somebody's stolen your briefcase full of money.
Is that enough action for you? Multiply it by two for Double Action.
Don't talk to me.
Hell yeah! Now you're talking!
Yes. Yes you do.
* Pistols also available in dual wield style.
Style is good; we like style. Choose a style skill for specialized action:
Double Action is a no-holds-barred battle royale interspersed with objectives to survive checkpoints, capture the briefcase full of money, and hunt down the wanted criminal.
Don't be ridiculous, it wouldn't be very stylish if we charged you. Double Action is free, just download and play!

So, it's like a Micheal Bay movie?
Don't talk to me.
So, it's like a Freddie Wong movie?

Style is good; we like style. Choose a style skill for specialized action:
- Marksman - Improved gun handling and extra firearms damage
- Athlete - Faster speed and better stunts
- Bouncer - Deal more damage when brawling
- Reflexes - Super-slow-motion and bullet time
- Nitrophiliac - Extra grenades, more explosions
What's the objective?
Double Action is a no-holds-barred battle royale interspersed with objectives to survive checkpoints, capture the briefcase full of money, and hunt down the wanted criminal.
How much does it cost?
Don't be ridiculous, it wouldn't be very stylish if we charged you. Double Action is free, just download and play!
