Update 0.7: new AI team

Hello Riders, This is a major update featuring a new AI team and numerous other updates in preparation for the implementation of new stage type.

Gameplay


  • Rework units spawner: increase total units per team to 60, also limit units per tier
  • Added ability to Disassemble and Enhance weapons.
  • Added Prestige button to reset all progress after all galaxies completed.
  • Rebalance all guns - legendary minigun is quite similar to any other gun of common rarity.
  • Increased chance of rare guns with progress
  • Tweaked gun mods: nerf damage mods, tweak explosive ammo radius. Roll only one gun in Mod Install window by default.
  • Reworked Mortario boss.
  • Added multiple explosion packs to AI DistantExplosions module; make bosses spawn multi-stage explosions
  • Reworked Space-Station: now it can be destroyed and so the related mission (capturing/defending) fails. Reworked station capture progress bar.
  • Update Stage rewards on Map when there are no items left in given category
  • Added Repair module.
  • Added combat saw unit node.
  • Made common drones affected by EMP/hack effects. Removed EMP/hack resists from all common units for now.
  • Apply temporary EMP effect to player when go out of stage bounds
  • Reduced screen shake from explosions. Added rotational camera shake, also consider distance of shake source from camera.
  • Made player invincible after triggering stage portal
  • Reduced base radius of Cargo Hook to 2.5 from 4
  • Tweaked Proximity scanner to ping with max rate only when very close to Intel area
  • Removed Armor module from player's upgrades; RP is refunded if Player has researched it.
  • Tweaked loot drops; Scale stage time from 60 seconds to 2.5 minutes with galaxy progression.
  • Added conditions to different missions to appear only from/until certain galaxy progress.
  • Updated station rank by galaxy progress.
  • Reduced Repair pack drop base chance to 60%, but reduce fall-off btw galaxies.
  • Added 'damage resist' labels and damage labels for fire effect.
  • Increased density of conditions in the generated map.
  • Added reset tutorials.
  • Added audio transitions to AudioPlayer.
  • Optimized destruction of composite objects, Dissolve all sprites on node with multiple sprites.

AI


  • Added AI grapple module
  • Added move-around-target AI mode.
  • Added AI unit with Repair module (it repairs its allies around).
  • AI fixed powerUPs order in case multiple powers present of aim- and non-aim types
  • AI: Kamikadze units will not explode if the target has left the explosion radius.
  • Added an extra chance check when spawning Kamikadze units.
  • Fixed calculation of AI shooting pause.
  • Reworked rank system for AI units.

Graphics/UI


  • Redesign all units, added movement trails and unit destroy VFX
  • Added Charge module VFX
  • Updated Research screen layout.
  • Made dust particles Lit
  • Added parallax mode to use player's body position instead of camera's position.
  • Improved clarity of progress bar module.
  • Updated loading screen hints
  • Increased camera speed on Map and Research screens.
  • Shortened rarity titles in gun install window diffs.

Bugfixes


  • (!) Player obtained immunity (on current stage) to kinetic damage after receiving certain amount of kinetic damage
  • Fixed: sometimes damage labels can be seen in the wrong position in the 1st frame after spawn.
  • Fixed end position of laser line in some cases of unit scaling
  • Added more error handling for Collect-Intel missions
  • Disabled movement in the first phase of Tutorial
  • Fixes: anomalies amount starts from max value sometimes (not increasing gradually)
  • UI: make inventory window re-focus last item when context menu is closed
