New stage: Warp Tunnel
A new level with runner gameplay - reach the portal as quickly as possible, avoiding obstacles and enemies!
New stage: Protect assault space station
From now on, each Rider goes into space with an "assault space station" that provides assistance at certain checkpoints. Protect the Station or you won't receive its rewards if it's destroyed during the Expedition! The station has its own weapons and also deploys Turrets, so enjoy.
Oh, and guild mechanics enhanced Turrets, so they can be pulled around to deal more damage.
Redesign Solar system map
- Updated Solar system generator;
- increase map size to 9 stages;

- Stop Storm: this item pauses Storm on Warp tunnel and Gravity stages.

Hull durability
Spaceship will no longer get auto-repair of hull during expedition. So there are added ways to maintain hull's durability:
- Added Repair module to Space-Station (capture an enemy station to receive repairs).
- Added Repair-Bot friendly unit which shoots repair-pack items.
- Spawn mega-repair-boxes on stages.
- Added 'Full Repair' reward to map nodes which allows to repair ship to 100% of durability. Also, added options to quickly repair ship (+40%) by skipping any other reward on map. And show ship status panel on map.
Misc
- Update translations and control tips.
- Increase spawn rate by 50% on gravity stage. Note: gravity stages felt too easy at the start of the expedition.
- Added explosion around player during level UP; Increased explosion impact forces
- Improved warping animation on map stage. Added VFX with reward type when warp on map.

Hello Riders, Past month there were introduces couple of updates to improve experience on SteamDeck:
- keys rebinds
- screen resolution settings
- bigger projectiles and slower game speed
- touch isn't registered as "mouse left button" click. It only moves "cursor" to touch position. So UI elements can be selected, but players still have to press "A" key to activate buttons/elements selected with touchscreen;
- the L3/L4 keys are not supported yet, they can't be bind in controls settings

Ship Attributes
This Update adds more variety to ship builds using Ship Attributes. Attribute points can be spent to modify ship behavior on the start of expedition. Permanent bonus Attribute points are obtained after completion of Galaxy. Temporary Attribute points (per expedition) can be obtained as a Stage Reward (during expedition/run).
Ship status panel (short)
Added Ship Status panel on cursor/sight. It shows: weapon ammo, hull and shield durability, readiness of PowerUPs:
Ship turret rotation
Added physical turret rotation (alignment to cursor/sight). Speed of rotation can be modified using Attribute points (above). Turret slowly follows the sight (cursor) when its speed is downgraded (to spend attribute points on other ship parts):

Weapons will have different values attributes (damage, fire rate, ammo) to increase variety and replayability. Total attribute points depends on item rarity too.

Hello Riders,
This update adds permanent guild Storage. When researching, one instance of equipment is added to this repository.
Items from the storage can be installed before the start of the expedition - 3 slots are available at the start: weapon, power and passive modules.
Researched items can be further crafted at will.
So now half of your starting equipment can be crafted and installed before expedition starts.
This partially solves an issue highlighted by Bishop007 about armament pool is very random. The next step is to make high tier items appear predictably as the expedition progresses.
And also this storage unlocks further development of survival elements (storage, consumables...).
Other changes:

Contracts
There are added around 30 contracts of generic type and related to unlocked equipment and guns. Now completed Contracts and Missions give Guild Influence. And Influence unlocks Research Tiers. Already researched items (researched before this Update) will be unlocked, despite of all Players now start with Research Tier #1.

This is a major update featuring a new AI team and numerous other updates in preparation for the implementation of new stage type.
Gameplay
- Rework units spawner: increase total units per team to 60, also limit units per tier
- Added ability to Disassemble and Enhance weapons.
- Added Prestige button to reset all progress after all galaxies completed.
- Rebalance all guns - legendary minigun is quite similar to any other gun of common rarity.

Play Bot
Introducing Play-Bot v1, emerging from nothing:
Main features:
- follow and auto-aim at the closest enemy and escape if enemies are too close
- prioritize bosses and extraction portal
- wander around and find enemies
- install new equipment and mods
- disassemble and enhance equipment
- select best rewarding stages on galaxy map to travel to
- and record statistics for each stage
- skip all stages except boss stages
- complete battle stage soon after start
Play data model
Play Bot can generate Play Test statistics over and over again (not bored and not exhausted, anytime I open start stage the Bot jumps into it as first time, ready to explore the galaxy for new data). List of runs' statistics Bot created not so long ago (where G0 means first galaxy and PR means Prestige number):
Each run consists of: file with statistics, world savefile, research savefile. Per each galaxy stage.
So I can load galaxy from any stage to play-test it by myself.

It helps to find anomalies btw multiple runs. Conclusion:
- play bots can reduce repetitive tasks, and visualization of statistics can help to see the hourly timeline on one screen
- play bot doesn't replace manual play test, it's an addition with use of correlation

- Re-design loot drop items. There are now 4 types dropped: - Gear (costs 1$, its dropped when common unit node is destroyed); - RepairPack (1$ + 1 HP repair, dropped from common node); - MicroCircuit (3$, dropped from weapon node and from main node of low tier units); - Core (10$, dropped from main node of high tier units, elites and bosses);
- Carrier unit (in mission) can drop Gear, MicroCircuit and Core items.
- Doubled the effect of EnemyBonusHp_ByGalaxy multiplier, added BossBonusHpMlt_ByGalaxy multiplier
- Reduced RailGun damage by 50% and increased tear-off effect by 100%. Comment: previously Rail-gun was to OP against multi-node Bosses. Now it damages Bosses just slightly better than Laser and totally shreds low/mid tier common units.

Gameplay
- Slightly increase speed of player ship, reduce speed of ramming enemies, slightly increase camera view. Comment: ramming units can be OP and annoying.
- Turn off gravity of Stage Portal while also turn off Bucks drops from common AI units (elite units still drop Bucks after Portal is opened) Comment: turned off portal gravity and also prohibited infinite farming of Bucks. This change allows Players to complete stage missions and finish off elite units after the timer expires (but it's risky without Repair packs dropping).
- Increment stage timer with every stage completed. Comment: later stages have more time before Portal is opened.
- Update parallax speed and scene bounds.

Hello Riders, New update adds:
Difficulty Levels and World Progression
- Completely reworked the scale and progression of the game world. There are now 4 Galaxies (4 difficulty levels) x 3 Solar Systems (based on the number of Bosses) x 16 stages, totaling 192 stages.
- AI unit attributes and enemy spawns now improve between Galaxies. In next updates there will be unlocked new enemy types and challenges in addition to difficulty scaling.
- Progress is now permanently saved after each Galaxy, allowing new runs to start from the last reached Galaxy.
Research Screen and Meta Progression
- Research new weapons, modules, and their mods to prepare for challenges across all Galaxies.
- Research can be done at the beginning of a new run and between Solar Systems. And new items researched will start appearing in the current and future runs.
- Breaking Changes: The save file structure has been updated. Old saves will no longer work with this version.
- Added a new Radiation-Accumulation mod for the Radiation-gun.
- Various balancing adjustments and bug fixes for a smoother gaming experience.
- Fixed the UI for 4:3 aspect ratio monitors

Four New Units Added
We've introduced four new units, bringing the total to 22 common units: [olist]
AI Enhancements
We've toughened up the existing AI units while reducing the limit of AI units per team from 25 to 20. Expect improved AI targeting and behavior.
Enhanced Projectile Visibility
Projectiles are now visible in dark stages and are color-coded by team. This change levels the playing field in bullet-hell scenarios.
Graviton Module Updates
We've merged the Graviton-Ignore-Allies mod with the Graviton-Advanced mod and updated Graviton logic to reduce the pull force on heavy objects. While this may not simulate real gravity, it makes the Graviton module more predictable. Remember, it's still a portable gravity generator! We hope you enjoy these updates!
Hello Riders, Here's a quick update:
- Fixed the issue with uploading secondary stats that store extra information for leaderboard records (this data includes the stage and XP level at which the player achieved the record). Please note that this fix won't affect current records in the Beta Leaderboard, but it should ensure that future records will render that extra details for each Player :)
- Corrected damage labels for the player's shield.

A Drone companion is added into the game. It follows and protects you. Also, it can copy your Guns, Modules and gun Modifications when upgraded.
Next, Sentry Turret was reworked, so you can have 2 companions at the same time.
However, when fully upgraded your AI units can copy Drone Hub module, so they also can have their own companion drones. So now you can get into battle with a squad of 5 units.
Finally, new AI Hub module shares upgrades between your Drones and Turrets!

- Fix: load SloMo and HyperBoost icons in InventoryWindow on map stage.
- Fix: clear rocket TrailRenderer on spawn.

Added Global Leaderboard which renders your Rank in Cosmo Rider guild. It renders your Latest, the Best records and records of the nearest opponents. You may access it within the Game-Over dialog:

- Re-balance Guns to fix gaps in DPS: - Shotgun: Spread +30% and set 3 pellets per shot in stock. Add Extra-Pellets modification; - Add ExtraBullet mod for MiniGun and NapalmGun. Now basic MiniGun is quite not bad; - Slightly nerf damage or reloading time on other Guns; - Fix: when install two guns of the same Type then use the best available Rarity level from Player Inventory;
- Aim-Beam is preinstalled on Players ship with reduced range and without Scanning effect. Range and Scanning effect can be upgraded via modifications. So, Aim-Beam and updated ship sprites should make easier to see Player ship in huge fights.
- Re-Assign Active PowerUPs on Left/Right mouse buttons
- Improve aim and targeting for AI units
- Enhance graphics of Player, AI units

- Increase max gravity of Scene Portal (grows over 120 sec)

Hello Riders, A new 0.2.2 patch has been deployed while we're working on an exciting new mission type called "Mining Asteroid." In this mission, players can mine XP items from a massive destructible asteroid while battling waves of enemies! Change list:
- The Carrier unit is now spawned in the secondary AI team during the Carrier mission. This allows the primary enemy team to assist the player in shooting off the XP items.
- HUD: Move the XP bar to the top of the screen.
- Make stage zone VFX slightly wider.
- Update translations and sound effects (SFX).
- Update game title and icon.
Game can be played on Linux-based systems.
Tested on Ubuntu 22.04.2.
