EDIT: Valve has responded to my request. January 2nd is when the game should become free-to-play.
The game will become free on January 1st given that Valve processes my request in time and as long as there aren't any hiccups along the way. If you can't wait that long - though I imagine I speak to no one as I say this - maybe wait for a sale instead!
I originally priced Stick and Balls at $5 because I valued the time I spent creating it. What I failed to properly ponder, however, is how others value their time. Very few are willing to spend $5 for this - um - experience, and I don't blame them. Truthfully, I knew this from the start, but rose-tinted glasses for my abjectly agonizing creation made it difficult to see things clearly.
To the few crazed individuals who purchased Stick and Balls, thank you! I truly wish it were within my capabilities to offer refunds now that it's becoming free. How you made it past the art, music, and design reminiscent of a bad flash game, and the various warnings that this game values difficultly over fun, is beyond me, but I'm very happy there was a small audience who felt it was worth the price tag!

Disclaimer : A controller with two analog joysticks is highly recommended, and very nearly required, to play this game. If you want to torture yourself on a level even beyond what I made this game for, then sure, try and play with keyboard. Don't say I didn't warn you though.
Completing this challenge won't be easy. You will fall, many times, and it will always be your fault. Eventually you'll feel into the technique of controlling two things at once. Through your failures you'll learn the many emergent tricks of a seemingly simple game. Maybe, just maybe, you'll find the peak of this tortuous game. Even more difficult will be the quest to discover each secret and shortcut.
The art and music might not be this game's selling point, but there's 26 ball costumes, 8 world themes, and 13 original music tracks to hopefully keep your interest.
