- Flipping Animations - We've added flipping animations into the game, which provide some additional time before your fighter faces the other direction in certain situations. This provides extra time for opponents to potentially hit you from behind, allowing for a little more window for cross-up opportunities.
- Crash Fix - A hard crash scenario was identified and fixed related to a gap in the audio subsystem.
- Performance Improvements - Optimizations to thread and memory management were made to reduce utilization across the lifetime of the app.

Hello everyone! Our 2024.10 patch is now live! This update brings several quality of life improvements to the game, including a series of updates to online play for security and performance, as well as a few other minor updates.
- Attract Mode - We've added an option to the game settings to enable Attract Mode, which is off by default. If Attract Mode is enabled, when the game is idle on the menu screen for a minute it will back up to the title screen and demo gameplay attract loop.
- Network Security - This build adds our new network security features to encrypt our network protocol and add protection against bad actors during online play.
- Network Efficiency - In addition to the security enhancements for online play, we've also updated the protocol to reduce bandwidth which should improve the efficiency of online sessions.
- Combo Compensation - We've made some adjustments to the damage scaling curve for combos to prevent combos from reducing damage as aggressively.
- Grappled Interrupt - We fixed an issue that would cause a grappled fighter to continue to be in a grappled state even after the opponent's hold is interrupted, typically by a projectile or delayed attack. Now, fighters will immediately drop the grappled state if their opponent breaks their hold due to being hit.
- Yasu's Roundabout - Yasu's Roundabout attack has been revised with a new input to make triggering it easier while mid-jump. Due to the new input, it no longer features an ES variant, though we may explore this again in a future update.
- Held Input Improvements - Fixed an issue that was causing held inputs not to persist between move executions as intended in certain situations. Now, the last directional held will continue to count toward held inputs even after an attack is triggered, aiding charge attack execution.
- Updated Runtime - We have migrated to an updated runtime for the game that is now using the latest openjdk revision and is more generally supported.
- Various Bugfixes - A few minor bugfixes have been incorporated to address issues with a few UI elements and settings issues that led to poor user experience.

Our v133 build is now live on the experimental channel! To opt into this build, just open your game properties and switch to the 'experimental' channel under the 'Betas' view:
This channel is intended for early previews and coordinated testing on cutting-edge game features and balancing adjustments.
The v133 experimental build's main focus centers around security for online play. Our online protocol has been updated to incorporate encryption into our various network modes, helping to prevent bad actors from negatively impacting online play. For testing, we ask the community to help us run through some online matches to ensure the gameplay experience is consistent. Currently, both players must be on the experimental version to be able to play together. As always, if you do encounter any bugs or issues, please reach out to the team in our official Discord so we can take a look!

Hello everyone! Today, we have another small update that addresses several bugfixes:
- Story Mode Crash - We identified and fixed an issue that would cause the game to get hung up during the beginning of Story Mode due to no audio devices being identified by the game.
- Settings Menu Crash - We identified and fixed an issue that could cause the game to crash while performing input remapping in the settings menu if the captured inputs did not match the control type being remapped.
- Settings Menu Improvement - We've improved when the game stores the current settings to ensure they are retained even if the application is force-closed. This should improve some of the reports we've gotten of input remapping or other settings changes not 'sticking'.
- Settings Menu Improvement - We fixed an issue that could cause the mobile edition's control configuration view to display when quickly shuffling through the settings views.
- Build Version Improvement - We have updated the indicator on the main menu to show the full build version, which now includes the version code for each release.

The Warrior-Prince of Hinode, Isamu is an all-rounder that emphasizes his Swordmaster fighting style. He's a great character to start learning the fundamentals with!

Fast and bouncy, Kyouki's fighting style focuses on fast strikes and mobility. Her Gymnast fighting style often sees her leaping across the stage as her foes try to keep up.
Kenta
Strong and steady, Kenta prefers a more hands-on approach with his Brawler fighting style. When he's not dealing powerful strikes, he commands the very earth with his Geomancer abilities.
Yuraku
Don't judge a book by its cover! Yuraku's allure is her deadliest weapon. As a Lurist, she draws in her opponents with her various tricks and traps whilst striking them down with her deadly Bo.
Yasu
Fast and nimble, the elderly Yasu is more than she seems. Emphasizing fast pop-in and pop-out gameplay, she strikes down her foes with a flurry of blows from her trusty umbrella!
Itami
Utilizing his implements of pain, Itami can quickly slash, whiplash and torch his foes into submission before they even know what hit them.
Hitan
Calling upon the flock of birds that follow her, Hitan can send them after her opponents to zone them right where she wants them, only to unleash her powerful kick attacks!
Shinrou
Shinrou's vaporous form allows him to morph into different forms to crush his foes. Combining this with the power of his crystal, his attacks can throw off even the most practiced of opponents!

Network Play
KONSUI FIGHTER debuts with Network Versus! Hop into Online Mode to play a quick match with another random online player, featuring rollback netcode to provide a solid online gameplay experience. You can also use Steam game invites to play a match with a friend in your Steam friends list or select Local Network play to play with a friend on your local network across devices.
Story Mode
Unravel the secrets of Ayumu's past in Story Mode. KONSUI FIGHTER currently features the first two chapters of Story Mode, with more to come in future updates!
Arcade Mode
Take on a traditional stack of enemies in KONSUI FIGHTER's Arcade Mode!
Training Mode
Learn the fundamentals of KONSUI FIGHTER in Training Mode. Here you can work your way through four training modules designed to teach you everything you need to know to dominate your opponent!
Versus Mode
Outside of Network play, KONSUI FIGHTER features a variety of Versus modes to choose from. In Player Versus you can enjoy a local match with another player on the same system or via Steam Remote Play. Hello everyone! We've just launched our 2024.7 update for KONSUI FIGHTER. Here are the highlights:
- New Versus Flow - This update brings the new versus flow into the game! After each match, the fighters will now exchange a brief dialogue, and your victories will accrue in the form of trophy coins. You also now have the option to jump right back into the action via rematch, or hop back to the main menu to select different fighters!
- Gameplay Updates and Fixes - With this update, we've corrected at least one significant flaw in the core gameplay mechanics that led to unintended damage buffs. We've also adjusted a few of the cornered scenarios we tweaked in the last update to put a little more 'oomph' back into those options.
- Various Bug Fixes - Fixed an issue with the Game Over screen that could lead to a soft crash. Improved a few aspects of establishing network connections to improve reliability.

Hello everyone! We are excited to announce that KONSUI FIGHTER will launch into Early Access this Friday, May 31st! Early Access will launch at $19.99 USD and includes the following features:
- Eight Playable Characters - Eight of the ten final characters are currently available for players to utilize, with the final two planned to be added during the Early Access cycle.
- Arcade Mode - Work your way through a classic arcade stack of fighters in Arcade Mode.
- Versus Mode - Fight against a friend either in local or online versus play, supporting full rollback netcode to ensure a seamless experience. Or, test your mettle against the innovative new FORESCORE AI fighters in CPU versus mode.
- Story Mode - Play through the first two chapters of KONSUI FIGHTER's Story Mode, and begin to unravel the mystery of Ayumu's past.
- Training Mode - Play through the four guided training modules to learn the mechanics of KONSUI FIGHTER, or, hop into Free Training mode to practice your skills and discover new combos to take down your foes!
- Cross-Platform Support - Enjoy KONSUI FIGHTER on a wide range of devices, with support for Windows, macOS, Linux, and native Steam Deck support. Enjoy cross-platform multiplayer support across these and the mobile editions of KONSUI FIGHTER!

We have several key features that will be the focal point to take us from Early Access to our full release. These include:
- Playtesting and Balancing - With support from the community, we will continue to refine the balance of our fighters, game mechanics, and CPU fighters.
- Kon - Our tenth and final fighter, Kon, will be have his remaining content completed and will be implemented into the game.
- Story Mode - The remaining chapters of Story Mode will be completed and implemented into the game.
- Online Improvements - With the aid of the community, additional improvements to the online gameplay will be iterated upon, and additional features such as in-game friends and block list support will be added.
- Expanded Training - Beyond the core guided training modules, each of the ten playable characters will have a dedicated training module made available. Additionally, Free Training mode will be expanded with CPU fighter control options, and additional options to expose metrics and frame information for more detailed practice sessions.
- Final Quality Improvements - Several asset quality enhancements will be incorporated that will improve different aspects of the final product. From the incorporation of character sound effects, final audio mastering passes, updates to character sprite palletization and more - the Circean Studios team will implement several final polishing touches to ensure the final release version of KONSUI FIGHTER adheres to our high standards for the game's quality.
