Now live: v0.13 of the demo!

New cards: - adds Yellow Card and Red Card to the game! Yellow Card: On play: Choose a card in opponent's play pile to mark with a Yellow Card, then put a Red Card into your draw pile. Red Card: On play: Burn any cards in your opponents play pile that are marked with a Yellow Card. On discard: Burns. New stuff: - adds an intent indicator to the opponent. This will show you when the opponent has already stood (and cannot take further actions) and what limit they will stand at - finally, a new and much improved cursor! - changes Blank Card effect to: On 1st play this encounter: choose the value (from 1 to 11) for the Blank Card to take for the rest of this encounter. - the escape key now pauses the game just like clicking the land card would. Note that this is only possible when the land card is clickable Bug fixes: - cards that add a card into the draw pile now insert it to a random position in the draw pile rather than shuffling the whole draw pile. This means that cards like Cue Card and Kanban Card work more consistently (unless of course the new card is inserted between Kanban and the chosen card) - card description updates to match the above change - cards now longer reset their art or suit to the default for that card when discarded - Glitched Card now correctly retains its suit, value, name after discarding - makes the card art of several cards match the recent font improvements - clarifies The Devil description (you need a winning blackjack to deal 6x damage) - fixes a bug where Loyalty Card wouldnt set score to 21 if its value was not 0 - fixes a bug where Gravecard that was swapped to opponents side could be rerolled endlessly - Memory card now visually moves the copied card into draw pile

You’ve played blackjack before…

In Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers you’ll travel through a tavern where everyone plays a very different version of blackjack to what you’re used to. You’ll have to master it to strike down the capitalists at the top that are profiting from the tavern’s manipulation of the blackjack-addicted townspeople.

But never with cards like these!

Every run you’ll build a new deck from a collection of over 175 unique cards, each with it’s own special effect. Will you use the powerful Tarot cards? Or perhaps you prefer the Business Card, or the Hall Pass? Or maybe you have an Ace Up Your Sleeve?

Just as your deck will be different every time, so will the way you wield the cards. One run you might be focused on drawing aces, while the next you are aiming to fill your opponents deck with bad draws.

And never in a place like this!

As you make your way through the tavern you’ll be presented with many choices - make sure you make the right one, as the consequences could catapult your run to greatness, or end it very quickly… Will you buy a loot box, open a booster pack, drink ale, or stay in the fancy room?

Disclaimers: Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers contains no real currency gambling, no micro transactions, no loot boxes, no bait and switch tactics, no cryptocurrencies or NFTs, and definitely no Skinner Box “gameplay elements”. Any art that resembles art from other media is used only as a parody, to poke fun at predatory monetisation tactics, and the absurdity of how tried and true methods used to make adults addicted to gambling are now used by gaming’s largest companies to trap children in their lifelong whale nets. Problem gambling is a serious matter, if you or a loved one is affected please look up and contact your local problem gambling services.
