In Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers you’ll travel through a tavern where everyone plays a very different version of blackjack to what you’re used to. You’ll have to master it to strike down the capitalists at the top that are profiting from the tavern’s manipulation of the blackjack-addicted townspeople.
But never with cards like these!

Every run you’ll build a new deck from a collection of over 175 unique cards, each with it’s own special effect. Will you use the powerful Tarot cards? Or perhaps you prefer the Business Card, or the Hall Pass? Or maybe you have an Ace Up Your Sleeve?
Just as your deck will be different every time, so will the way you wield the cards. One run you might be focused on drawing aces, while the next you are aiming to fill your opponents deck with bad draws.
And never in a place like this!

As you make your way through the tavern you’ll be presented with many choices - make sure you make the right one, as the consequences could catapult your run to greatness, or end it very quickly… Will you buy a loot box, open a booster pack, drink ale, or stay in the fancy room?
Disclaimers: Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers contains no real currency gambling, no micro transactions, no loot boxes, no bait and switch tactics, no cryptocurrencies or NFTs, and definitely no Skinner Box “gameplay elements”. Any art that resembles art from other media is used only as a parody, to poke fun at predatory monetisation tactics, and the absurdity of how tried and true methods used to make adults addicted to gambling are now used by gaming’s largest companies to trap children in their lifelong whale nets. Problem gambling is a serious matter, if you or a loved one is affected please look up and contact your local problem gambling services.
Gameplay speed changes
Changes to speed up gameplay across the board:
Halved the time to flip the top card over when hitting
[/*]Fixed the time to flip a card facedown being slower than the time to flip a card face up
[/*]Sped up the time to smash score cards together, and to drop the pips when someone busts
[/*]When chips, shield, or healing are gained let the next action begin when the first chip/shield/heart particle hits the ID Card instead of the last
[/*]Removed a short delay at the end of gaining chips/shields/healing
[/*]Removed some wind up frames from the big sword (21 damage or more) animation
[/*]Quartered the time for an opponent to decide which choice to make
[/*]
Other improvements
Changed the engine render mode to better support a wider range of devices
[/*]
Bug fixes
Fixed a bug where burning a foe\'s Queen of the Stone Age using a Gerald from Riviera would cause a softlock
[/*]Fixed a bug where Broken Chip would not trigger correctly if busted due to a card like Four Mana Seven Seven
[/*]Fixed a bug where Glitched Card couldn\'t update the displayed number if it rolled The Agile Agenda
[/*]Fixed a bug where the displayed number from The Agile Agenda would stay on the Glitched Card when it was played a second time
[/*]Fixed a bug where a card could be shown facedown even though there wasn\'t a XVIII The Moon or The Moon XVIII in play
[/*]Fixed a bug where the Dealer had the wrong name set in the 8 card shop
[/*]Fixed a bug where clicking the draw pile during the shuffle animation would crash the game
[/*]Fixed bugs with the choose next floor screen leaving a semi-transparent layer on top of the game in some cases
[/*]Fixed a bug where some chip counts were being rounded incorrectly
[/*]Fixed a bug where language translations were not being exported by the engine correctly, which resulted in non-English fonts being displayed incorrectly
[/*]
We\'ve also pushed an update to the official soundtrack that fixes the tracks being out of order and the final track not playing.
