Revamped Demo with new gameplay elements added

The new update for the Demo / Playtest versions of Rocket is here! New Features:

Classic Mode
Revamped Cadet / Galactic Hero Modes
New Weapon - Bubble Blaster
New Upgrades for the Default Rocket Weapon
New Gameplay Mechanics

After some work, the new update is here for all to enjoy. The current Cadet / Galactic Hero modes have been revamped into something bigger and more exciting. This includes new gameplay elements such as Planets, Mazes and Space Winds. Among the changes are various changes and additions to the Weapons and Upgrades to the game. The Dual Rocket Weapon has now been replaced with a new weapon called the Bubble Blaster. This shoots out bubbles that does less damage overall, but will bounce around allowing you to hit multiple targets. The Default Rocket Weapon has also seen a boost with 3 new exciting Upgrades exclusively for that weapon. See below for a fun git example of how 1 fired Rocket can turn into multiple & pass through Asteroids for extra damage.

Rocket officially launches on Feb 19th, 2024 for Early Access. You can try out the game in advance by checking out the Demo / Playtest.

About Rocket!

This is an arcade style space shooter game, with heavy influences from the classic Atari game Asteroids as well as the gameplay fun and challenge of a Bullet Hell / Shoot Em Up. As you shoot down asteroids and fire on various enemy ships, you will gain various resources you will need to upgrade your ship with more powerful weapons and various upgrades. Don't forget to avoid space anomalies like black holes and supernovas!

Work toward upgrading your ship each time you play. Each play through builds up resources you can use to power up your ship, allowing you to score higher and explore further. Maximize your ship’s power to rank high on the online leaderboards!

Local Co-Op

Got an extra controller and a friend nearby? Check out the local co-op! Just pop in that second controller while playing and your buddy will join in on the fun. Can you both survive the depths and get a high score?

This game is perfect for Steam's Remote Play Together as well! Invite your friend to play through the magic of Steam without being in the same room!
