Our new digitally exclusive Exploration Mode lets you unlock new ships, abilities, tiles, and cosmetics by completing missions. Dont worry: the board game mode is still there and fully accessible. Exploration Mode is just a new way to play!
Check out all unlockable content and cosmetics in the new Treasury menu! You can preview unlocked items and see how to unlock the rest. Most of them unlock naturally just by playingno backflips required.
You asked for it, we delivered: The game now does an autosave at the beginning of every turn, and you have three save slots available per game mode. Just pause and return to the main menuor close the gameyour progress will be safe.

Ahoy, Sailors! Weve got a huge update for the Beacon Patrol Demo on the horizon! This ones packed with exciting changes and offers a much clearer taste of the full game experience. First off, a huge thank you to everyone who shared feedback on the previous demo and on First Horizons our digital testbed for features that go beyond the board game. Your input has helped shape the future of Beacon Patrol, and weve listened carefully! We have taken your feedback to heart and added the following features:
- Improved tutorial
- New Exploration Game Mode with progression

Beacon Patrol is a cooperative and relaxing tile laying exploration game.
You play as captain of the Coast Guard, navigating the coast of the North Sea to secure its beacon buoys, lighthouses and waterways.
Work together with your friends and score points by creating the most complete map following simple rules for tile placement and scoring for different tile types.
The ships of all captains start at the Coast Guard HQ and build the map from there.
On your turn you place up to three tiles, connecting to the tile your ship currently occupies. Tiles must not be rotated and all their edges have to match.
After placing a tile you immediately move your ship onto it. By spending one of your tokens you can take an additional movement to a connected tile. You can also exchange one of your unplayed tiles with another player once each turn.
The game ends when all tiles have been played. You score points for each tile that is connected to other tiles on all four sides.
Beacon Patrol combines the look and feel of a modern board game with the adventure of exploring the sea in ever changing ways.
It is a cozy and strategic game to experience with your friends or on your own.
The clear and cute art style lets you enjoy the coast and the sea from where ever you are.
The game will support Local Multiplayer as well as Online Multiplayer via Steam Remote Play Together.
Both multiplayer modes will the following control schemes:
