Weve heard your voices regarding the recent update we made to the Super Black Market. and we are already working on changing it to fit your desires. But before I get into the specifics, let me start with another big news!
The development of Bounty of One is slowly getting to its final state and
its full release is drawing near. Therefore, Bumpty and I have been talking a lot and, given all the changes we still want to make and the content we wish to add, we decided to halt the updates until the full release. We will, however, still update the Beta branches once were happy with the upcoming features and, if you want to assist us in the final stages before the release,
please play on the Beta branches and let us know what you think, again, your feedbacks are precious!
Now lets get back to the main subject at hand: The problem with the Super Black Market as a Redemption option. As it stands, we understand that the way it works makes you feel like you're cheating at the game and that were locking you out of content as it doesnt allow you to either get achievement or post you highscore. We realize that we might have been too adamant in our game design decisions regarding that and weve since changed our minds.
We will change the Super Black Market and allow players to use it to gather both achievement and scores.
The way we will implement this change however requires two steps, let me get you through them.
By the way, if you want the future content to remain a surprise on launch day, here is a
SPOILER ALERT
[spoiler]First thing first, step one. In its current state, the Super Black Market cannot just be available from the get go, it is just too absurdly crazy powerful (but again, it was originally intended as somewhat of a sandbox mode). Therefore, we will rebalance it a bit, it will still be way stronger than the normal black market but not in a way that trivializes the game. Here are some modifiers that it might include:
- Start with an Epic chest if you kill a Boss in your previous run
- Get up to 2 Banish Re-roll for objects
- etc.
Unlocking the Super Black Market will now also require you to beat Infamy at level 11 or higher.
Step two, giving you more options to get stronger would not be fun without a challenge to overcome. Thats why we decided to revamp the Infamy system. Basically, from level 0 to 10, your experience will be similar to the current state of the game. After infamy 10 is where the real fun begins however, from here on out, you will be introduced to the Necromancers Pact!

In this menu, youll be able to choose the difficulty you inflict upon yourself and things will quickly get out of hand with some crazy run modifiers. Some examples may include:
- Enemiess life improves by 25/50/75/100% when you kill a sheriff
- Enemiess projectiles bounce 1/2 times on the side of the screen
- etc.
Get ready to face Infamy difficulties well above the current level 18.
Thankfully, the new Super Black Market will be there to support your endeavor as soon as you beat infamy 11.
Those two steps should theoretically allow for a more delightful experience overall. It doesnt trivialize the game, offers challenging experiences and allows highscore performers to shine and fully display their skills.
