Bounty of One x Ludeo integration!
It's been a while an you might be wondering what we've been up to! I am here to answer such question. For one, we have a few things brewing in the background and we hope to be able to share them with you very soon but also, we been working hard on the implementation of a new feature. Have you ever looked at someone else's gameplay and thought to yourself: "Damn, I can do this WAY better!"? Or phew, that looked like a fun situation to be in? Let me introduce you to: [previewyoutube=q-QmYynibsY;full][/previewyoutube] In short, it is like making a short video via Instant Replay, but instead of just watching that gameplay bit or sharing it as video - with Ludeo, you can play that exact bit. And the good thing is? You don't need to install anything! (Except for owning Bounty of One of course )
Ludeo has been working with us to integrate Bounty of One with their platform. Our team is now ready to test it with you, and we would appreciate any feedback you can provide! To gain access to the test branch, follow these steps : [olist] Right click on Bounty of One in your Steam library and select properties
go to the Betas tab
In the Betas and select the Public BETA branch in the scroll down button
update the game and you're good to go
[/olist]
To create your ludeos, follow these steps : [olist] First, sign in with your Steam account at beta.ludeo.com
Run Bounty of One (Ludeo is available only in the Bounty Hunted mode) and, once you start a new run, you will see a popup that will notify you when you can capture your gameplay. Simply press the L key three times consecutively to record the last minute of your game.
You just had an epic showdown? A close-call escape? Go ahead and capture that moment!
You can keep playing your run, all of your captured moments are waiting for you in the Ludeo Creator Studio. When you want to start creating your Ludeo, hit edit on the captured moment you want in your highlights on the ludeo website
There, you can trim your Ludeo and assign an objective for others to complete. For example - Collect X coins, Kill X enemies flawlessly, i.e. without taking any damage. You can also set different scoring objectives that players will gain extra points for doing (yeah, there are leaderboards too)
Once youre happy with your Ludeo settings you're good to go! Publish your Ludeo and share your link. Everyone will be able to replay that exact moment and compete on who will do it with the most points. Its that easy to create your first Ludeo!
[/olist]
To celebrate the first public test of our integration of Ludeo. For the next week, up to the end of February we welcome you to share your Ludeos at the ludeo-share channel on our Discord server Describe why you think your Ludeo stands out from the rest! It can be a really challenging Ludeo to complete or a Ludeo that will require extra skill to get the most points possible! At the end of the month, the Bounty of One and Ludeo team will pick the top 3 Ludeos and will give $10 Steam Gift cards for the winners! We also took the opportunity of this announcement to make quick patch. Mainly, we visually improved the map and the FXss clarity. You can check out the patchs content hereafter. I hope youll enjoy playing Ludeo, we will be back in a bit for more news from our side! Enjoy!

At its heart, Ludeo is a game discovery platform. You want to see and share the best parts of the game? Ludeo can help with that. Basically the goal of Ludeo is this: You love a specific game and had a great moment of gameplay - Ludeo lets you share it on their platform so your friends can enjoy that same awesome moment for themselves - and maybe do what you did but better! Ludeo is a young startup company. Their sites were built pretty early so the information you'll find online is outdated. Theyve let us know theyre building a new website and cleaning up their old ones so that it better represent what and who they are. Since then they started, they've built some extremely impressive tech, and theyre now ramping up with multiple game integrations in addition to Bounty of One. Bounty of One is one of the very first games on the platform. Eventually, the goal is for thousands of games to be Ludeo enabled so that players can share and play tons of games they might not have otherwise seen. But again - theyre still in their very early stages.
Ludeo isn't a downloadable feature, it's not stored locally on your computer. While signing in with Steam is required to create Ludeos, if you only want to play Bounty of One Ludeos then there is no sign in required. Ludeo is there for you if you want to use it but it is completely optional, that's why it is limited to the beta branch. If you don't want it, you can just play the game as you usually would - it's up to you!
In order to enable Ludeo for Bounty of One players, Ludeo processes ONLY data which is within the Bounty of One game - that is to say, the data points that dictate your current damage, your attack speed, the object or upgrade choices you made, whether or not you dash... With those gameplay data points recorded, Ludeo is then able to send that data to people who want to play the Ludeo experience that you created. Ludeo does not process nor collect any personal information of Bounty of One users. They do not have access nor the ability to get any data which is not in the Bounty of One game instance. The only information they will get from you is your username if you login onto their website with your steam account.
Ludeo records the gameplay inputs (attack damage, upgrade choices, dashes, etc.), and then the game client on the user side reads those game inputs and then creates a video, essentially recreating the gameplay you just played but in video form. That way theyre not storing huge video files on their side either. Its not a perfect analogy, but think of it like youre a chef cooking a killer meal. If you want someone else to cook the same meal, do you send them a video of you chopping vegatables? No, that would be pretty inefficient and more than a little weird. You send them the recipe! Ludeo strips data points about your gameplay down to make a recipe for another players game client to rebuild. And just to say it all out loud so were all clear: Ludeo only records your gameplay session. Ludeo doesn't record other tabs (or anything other than the gameplay for that matter) and is completely inactive if Bounty of One/the Ludeo enabled game is closed and if youre on the games main branch and not the public beta branch. Also, for the record - Ludeo is not recording images or videos like a screengrab - as discussed above, theyre recording the gameplay inputs, etc.
No, not really - though theoretically Ludeo could be used to train in specific parts of a game? But to that end its probably more useful for speedrunning than esports.
No, not really - I mean technically later there could be some gameplay AI used (think MP bots), but not AI like a hey make me a video of Will Smith eating too much spaghetti.
Nope.
Absolutely not.
