Imagine Earth - Creating Real World Impact
They work with local communities to restore forests on a massive scale, thereby creating jobs, protecting ecosystems, and helping mitigate climate change. All sales of the Imagine Earth soundtrack go to a reforestation project. Together with this organization, we have now planted over 46,000 trees until Februar 23.
The Whales and Dolphins Conservation's aim is to protect. They have teams in Germany, the UK, Australia, the USA and Argentina to manage and support projects around the world. They organize an annual Steam Sale events for World Ocean Day, game studios receive a feature and donate a portion of their proceeds to marine mammal conservation.
Jingle Jam has expanded to include unique live-streaming content hosted by a variety of creators from the Yogscast and beyond. Together with 80 other game studios, we raised over four million Euro in December '22 for various non-profit organizations such as WDC.
This event is about game studios making activations in their established games and motivating their players to take action for the environment. The organizer Playing for the Planet is a UN initiative that wants to make games greener. We were able to plant 14,920 trees and Imagine Earth won the Best Activation award in the Forests category.
We are a member of this initiative which enables game studios large and small to support forest conservation projects of their choice around the globe through their contributions. It has 61 supporting companies, which together supported the protection of over 1,4 mil m2 of forest and the planting of over 78 000 trees.
Is a marketplace where games are sold for Green Coins, 100% of which go to carbon reduction projects. We recently provided the store with a large number of keys for Imagine Earth to help with their project funding.
The Playing For The Planet Alliance was launched in 2019 during the Climate Summit at UN Headquarters in New York. The members of the Alliance have the ability to reach more than 1 billion video game players. In joining the Alliance, members have made commitments ranging from integrating green activations in games, reducing their emissions and supporting the global environment.
We participated in various environmental Steam sales over the years and donated between 10-20 percent share of the net income to reforestation or sealife. This of course wouldn't be possible without the reach and the playerbase that steam offers.

In order to also initiate change with our climate crisis game project in the real world, we enter into various collaborations with NGOs that generate a great range of effects. Even more impactful actions are planned for the future, for which we are looking for partner organisations who are active in the field of sustainability, environmental and climate protection.
- All Imagine Earth soundtracks sales net income is donated to reforestation.
- Starting with Green Game Jam '23 we plant a tree for every copy of Imagine Earth sold.
- Last year we implemented that player's can plant a real tree ingame if they plant 20 forest's on a single planet to reach the forester Steam achievement on steam.
- Regular Steam Charity Sale Events generated income donated to reforestation.

Imagine Earth is a real-time planet simulation and a build up strategy game. Your job as a space colony manager is to explore and populate distant planets. Build up thriving and profitable colonies on a global scale and trade resources and goods into space.
Profits vs. Ecocide
You will experience a massive conflict between the profit goals of the interstellar corporations and the need to preserve living conditions for your people. Exhaust emissions and ground pollution impact the global climate as your colony is growing. Increasing temperatures melt down polar caps and your colonies are destroyed by rising sea levels.
Expansion & Research
Raise great cities and satisfy their appetite for resources by building power plants, farms and factories. Dig for ideon crystals, pacify riots, research technologies and constructs and maximize your growth while maintaining a healthy ecosystem.
Allies, Threats & Enemies
Get ready to deal with threats like asteroid strikes, twisters, wild fires, volcanoes and rising sea levels. Fend off space raiders and alien investors. Coexist and trade with natives, merchants and hostile colonies.
Capitalist Space Age
In 2048 huge corporations have divided Earth among themselves and exploited its natural resources to a large extent. Now the discovery of ideon crystals allows journeys into space, while technologically and ideologically almost everything remains the same. The laws of the market are being spread into the universe.
Competition and Economic Warfare.
On each discovered planet a competition for economic dominance breaks out. To expand your colony as fast as possible and overcome your opponents you exploit the freely available fossil resources and minerals. Additional money is provided by selling shares of your colony. Take over opposing companies by buying up their shares.
Trade Resources and Technologies
Merchants and technology traders organize the interplanetary trade and will happily buy all minerals and resources you extract from your territory while selling expensive technologies. The same goes for cooperating colonies and alien tribes that live on some of the planets.
