0.9.6-0.10.0 Announcement of Upcoming Updates
I plan to add new large maps in 0.10.0 and new resources. The idea is that the increased map size will encourage players to establish a second colony, which will require setting up a resource exchange system. Resource deposits will be distributed in a way that allows the first colony to function independently for about 1-2 in-game hours. After that, players will hit a resource shortage necessary for progression and will have to venture out to find and extract them. These maps will be 4-5 times larger than the current ones, meaning resources will be located at significant distances. This is where trade routes and cargo ships will become truly essential! Additionally, I plan to introduce a maximum extraction limit per area or source to encourage players to establish new mining outposts.
Im working on adding manual control over a ships altitude and rotation using the mouse. This will be especially useful in combat since missile ballistics depend on height and ship orientation.
For combat ships, I plan to introduce a radial damage zone that will display the approximate trajectory of different missile types. For example: - Heavy missiles fly almost in a straight line. - Light missiles can curve up to 300 degrees.
Clicking on an enemy ship will make your ship turn towards it and fire missiles if possible. Clicking on a friendly ship will activate repair modules if available. And so on.
Right now, weapons fire regardless of whether the shot is likely to hit. I plan to implement a simple targeting system so ships only fire when theres a reasonable chance of hitting the target. Additionally, I plan to improve missile animations, add smoke trails, and make explosions and ship destruction more epic.
From player feedback, I noticed that many would like an overview of production and engineer status in the colony. I plan to add this feature.
Ill add a resource production limit setting for storage networks to prevent overproduction of any single resource.
I also plan to improve trade routes so that ships seek return cargo when traveling between two bases.
Depending on your PCs power, you may experience frame drops due to CPU delays in adjacent threads. This is especially noticeable on the Steam Deck, where frame tearing occurs almost constantly when moving the camera. I want to find a way to fix this.
Theres currently some confusion in how resources are displayed on the map. I plan to refine this. And many More Small Improvements! I will do my best to implement all of these enhancements by February-March 2025.

Hello everyone! I want to share my plans for the upcoming updates!
First of all, I can see that the last three updates have made the game much more intuitive, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive! Im incredibly happy and grateful for that!
I really liked the storage connection systemit makes developing a large base much more enjoyable and simplifies resource management since everything is drawn from a unified network.
Many of the future improvements are based on your feedback!
