Super Video Golf can be played either as couch co-op with up to 8 players using 1-4 compatible controllers or the PC keyboard, or online with up to 8 computers connecting to a single game. Super Video Golf can also be played as a combination of both allowing up to 16 players in a single round!
Players can customise their characters with a range of designs, hair styles and balls to choose from, with more available in the Steam Workshop. Computer controlled players can be added to a game either to fill out a team roster, to practice against - or simply to pit against other CPU players while you watch and relax. CPU players feature adaptive skill, so as the player's level increases, so does the challenge!
Solo features of Super Video Golf include Monthly Challenges which start at the beginning of each month, as well as a club league where personal progress is pitted against CPU players. The league consists of 24 round seasons, with awards given for top 3 placement and CPU players whose difficulty increases to match the player, season by season.
The clubhouse also hosts all the player's personal stats, such as time spent on each course, the player's score history and any awards received from completing monthly challenges and winning the league.
Every month a new set of leaderboards are created so players can compete around the world to win trophies for placing anywhere in the top 3. Player stats are tracked and broken down by year, month or week and can be viewed from within the clubhouse.
Steam Workshop support means that it is easy to find new customisation options such as new balls or head wear, and even upload your own creations to share.
Super Video Golf supports a wide array of resolutions, from as low as 640 x 480, all the way up to the latest UHD ultra wide displays. Full controller support means that big picture mode is fully supported, ideal for couch co-op play.

Its been a busy few weeks here at the clubhouse, what with the https://store.steampowered.com/app/4050220/Super_Video_Golf__The_Adventurer_DLC\"" style="color:#bb86fc;text-decoration:none;">impending DLC on the horizon, but Ive still managed to squeeze a few bug fixes and some QoL improvements into another patch.
While smaller than most updates, the 1.21.2 patch does bring some interesting new features based on player feedback. Firstly the much asked for auto-rotate for the player camera has been added. Now, when aiming, the camera will automatically follow the player. This behaviour is optional, however, as I know many players have gotten used to the existing camera and muscle memory can be hard to change - to turn this behaviour off just hop on over to the Settings page of the Options menu.

This update also adds the ability to measure distances when putting, useful for either those dog legged putting courses, or when putting without the Putt Assist enabled. When youre on the green simply press Up on the D-Pad (or 1 on the top row of the keyboard) and a small widget will appear on screen. You can move the widget around with the aim keys or left thumb-stick and the distance from the current lie of the ball will appear in your chosen units above the widget.

\nWhile these are the most noticeable changes there are many smaller fixes, such as a bug in the Workshop tools which was applying the incorrect animations to imported avatars
