Hello fellow master pilots! It's a new month and a new patch was just released. In our ongoing efforts to make the game more accessible we focused on balancing the scales between experienced and new players this month. For example you now get different types of secondary weapons depending on which rank you have on the leaderboards and we added new weapons that should help newer players to kick some ass more easily. Another huge addition is the difficulty level for bots. When adding CPU players you now get the option to choose between Level 1 bots all the way up to Level 9. This way you can play against enemies at your level and start improving your skill quickly. Also, we finally released version for Mac and Linux. These versions are still experimental so if you find anything odd, please let us know. We want to get them as polished as the windows version as quickly as possible. Here is the full list of changes for this month:
- NEW NEW NEW!!! Two new weapons have been added to the rotation: The Fuel Tank and the Drone
- The Fuel Tank only appears for the top players and it refills your boost energy instantly
- The Drone only appears for the last player. It follows you around and automatically shoots at everything that comes close to you
- Weapons are now weighted. Players ranked first will have a different chance to get certain types of weapons than players ranked in the middle or last. This way we hope to level the paying field a little bit between players
- New difficulty levels for the bots. You can now choose from Level 1 (just flying around doing nothing) to Level 9 (kicking your ass hardcore) to fit your own skill level
- Matchmaking bots will start at Level 5 and adjust their difficulty automatically each time you play a game to give you a good challenge withour overwhelming you
- The Main Menu screen has been completely revamped to make it more understandable
- Mac and Linux versions of the game have been added in an experimental state. They should work pretty well but please let us know about any complications you might have so we can make them as robust as the Windows version
- Rebalanced the EMP, Heatseeking Missles and Mines to give them more Ompf
- New switches in the options menu to toggle anti aliasing and shadows
- Many performance improvements and small fixes

🎮 Full Controller Support
- Super Sky Arena Linux [451.13 M]
- Sky Arena Original Soundtrack
Super Sky Arena is a modern re-imagination of the Starfox multiplayer mode. You pilot a jet fighter to have fast paced dogfights against three of your friends. Play either locally, in splitscreen mode, or create an online game and let your friends join from all over the world. And if your friends are busy, you can always play against the AI to train for future confrontations.
We plan to create the ultimate multiplayer experience for this game. To do this we developed (and are developing) many different forms of multiplayer gaming you can enjoy with your friends.
- Local Multiplayer
- Online Multiplayer
- Local or Online against Bots
- In Development: Couch vs. Couch Multiplayer (Online Splitscreen)
- Fast paced action dogfight: Fight your friends in a dogfight that requires quick reflexes, strategic maneuvers and powerful weapons
- Multiplayer in all colors: You can play in local splitscreen mode, join online matches of your friends and eventually combine both in our couch vs. couch multiplayer (this is still being developed)
- Original music: Each map has its own fast pumping music that reminds us of good old 80s and 90s rock
- OS: Ubuntu 12.04+. SteamOS+Storage: 420 MB available space
