Fight through randomly generated levels in glorious 16bit-style retro pixel art and listen to an awesome dynamic soundtrack while you blast away robots using one of 60+ weapons. Upgrade your character, find items, unlock allies that will help you and find the spirits of European heroes that will give you special powers. Now it is your turn to join the Great Rebellion!

Immerse yourself in the dystopian Europe of the year 20XX, where the Lucis Lux Mega-Corporation owns everything and the people own nothing. You play the role of Human 10.28, a man who decides he had enough. He doesn't want to be a cog in the soul-destroying system anymore and takes up the fight against a seemingly all-powerful enemy!

Our port of The Great Rebellion for the Nintendo Switch console was scheduled for release on November 21st. Then suddenly, Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe pulled \"The Great Rebellion: Edition 2084\" from their eShops - one day before the planned release.\n\nWe spent money on devkits and for months we worked on bringing The Great Rebellion to Nintendo Switch. We knew the PC version\'s political themes wouldn\'t work on Nintendo\'s platform, so we created \"Edition 2084\" - a toned-down version focused purely on the cyberpunk dystopia and \"technocratic rule\" aspect without the overt political and social references.

We passed Nintendo\'s lot check well over a month ago. We got approvals. Store pages went live. People wishlisted it.
Nintendo sent this message: \"Upon reviewing The Great Rebellion: Edition 2084, Nintendo has determined that it contains content that could be damaging to Nintendo\'s reputation or brand.\" One day before release. After months of work and a significant amount of money (for us) invested. \n\nStrangely enough, the game is still live and purchasable on the Japanese Nintendo eShop. Same game. Different region. Still available. \n\nThis is a significant financial blow to our small studio - we invested resources that seem to just be burned away now. We\'re a small team, and we were counting on this release. Some members of our teams have newborns, I will in fact become a father again in about a week, and this has put us all in a very difficult position. \n\nBut we\'re not giving up. Thank You to everyone who bought The Great Rebellion on Steam! Your support and enjoyment of the game is what\'s kept us going, and it\'s what will help us survive this setback. We have others games in development:
\"Serene Estates\" with a demo you can play right now and wishlist here on Steam\n\n[dynamiclink href=\"https://store.steampowered.com/app/3724910/Serene_Estates_Last_Guy/\"][/dynamiclink]

That we\'ll be sharing more about next year. We\'re going to keep making games. If you want to support us during this difficult time, the best way is to share our story and help spread the word about what happened.
