This is a rather major update, and very delayed given the release of the game, but this hopefully fixes all the related issues that have surfaced with the controllers, also supporting a bigger number of them.

Did some minor adjustments on two of the bosses of the game.

-Chapter 5, Cinque is now a shorter run on normal difficulty mode.
-Chapter 6, Shay's bombs now don't deal any damage as they are thrown into the stage on normal difficulty mode.

Update 10.2 Minor fixes on Chapter 12.

Update 10.0 (UPGRADE YOUR SUITS!)

Now, an upgrade option menu is available when you finish a stage. The game notifies you when UPGRADES are

possible, you can gain points from the COMPLETION RATING of each stage up to 100% per stage.

In specific you can upgrade the following things:

A) DAMAGE IN WEAPONS:
- Bat
- Gun
- Laser
- Flame

B) IMPROVEMENT MECHANICS:
- Increase the Charge Rate of the LASER.
- Increase the threshold in which the FLAMETHROWER overheats.
- Damage reduction("Hysteria depletion") on the penalty you receive when you use Second Wind.
- Increase Total Damage when in Time-Dillation.

C) PROTECTION:
- Damage reduction

-Also added a minorine achievement.

FIXES:
-Fixed an issue with the Keyboard and Options UI of the MAIN MENU.
-Restored certain dialog lines

Fixed an issue where number of kill stats could be greater than the number of enemies on the level.
-Fixed an issue where shooting the laser on a platform would hurl you forward.

Update 9.6 Chapter 8 Chapter 9

Now slowmotion hurts less when you use it. (Normal Mode)
-Second Chance now hurts less when you use it. (Normal Mode)
-Adjusted duration on all the platforms that use hysteria on chapter 9, so that they stay more (Normal Mode)
-Now SWARM (the flying robots that cut your head off) now don't instakill you. They deal a lot of damage, but no more instakills.

9.5 Widescreen

Now game will appear by fully filling the screen (instead of using black side and top borders), and you can adjust the option in OPTIONS, on the MAIN MENU or in the configuration tool. This was always possible, it's just a bit silly that this isn't the norm and several new players have expressed annoyance over this.

Now after twenty long years, APARTMENT is accessible from the main-menu

Update 9.3 Mostly fixes.

Fixed a crash bug if you restarted (CTRL-B) in the ending cutscene of Second Chapter's Boss fight.
-When you pick a joystick the game will re-check and set up proper button configuration.
-Ctrl-B will now skip the LOGOS in the beginning (requested by Jaledor)
-Fixed an exploit where you could get Seth standing in the middle and easily beat him.
-Got rid of sprite-oldest bug (which is what caused a lot of people crashes).

Update V7.0 (Fixes and adjustments)

I've increased the damage of the flamethrower on the zombies
-Also increased the stun delay for the Swarm regarding the Chapter 8 levels
-Fixed an issue whereas the flamethrower sound and delay would pass from stage to stage, now it stops and properly resets to 0.
-Concerning normal difficulty, now sitting on chairs with sanity below 100 won't kill you.

Update V5.0 (Fixes)

Fixed Second Wind's greatest mishaps, and the fact that it would spawn you on a non-existent platform. Also now, when it pulls you behind it resets all the falling platforms so u can actually make the damn jump.
-Fixed Ctrl-B in two parts
1) Now it points to the proper stage
2) It can be run at any time (mostly it will hold the command, but during 3-2-1 ending screen, it will immediately restart the stage.
-Now joystick will ignore the analogue stick if you're using the dpad, unless you move the analogue stick to the edge. That way we avoid people that wanna use the dpad and don't want sudden movements of the analogue stick to affect their play

Demo Announcement and Update V4.0

Major Addition:
Second wind mechanic.
Basically this makes the artist, the artist, and the exoskeleton, an actual exoskeleton, once per stage, you can use second wind (if you want), within a second, after u fall to your demise, to turn back time and fix mistakes. I feel like this is a cool step, and since, unfortunately, we cannot go back and adjust each level to less platforming, that's how it goes. Plus since, second wind has been given to you on the tutorial, there's no point in not allowing it as a mechanic.



Fixes/Adjustments:
-Increased flamethrower cooldown cap
-Increased flamethrower damage on melting tires
-Increased laser damage on flesh enemies on Hysteria
-Fixed an issue with a moving platform, pointed out by CasinoCoin
-Fixed a potential, rare, but still potential crash chance.

UPDATE V3.0 Content Update

) 6 achievements (Plus i added progress to the death and kills achievements)
2) Items/interactive points that require you to either get 80% on the stages of a chapter (not including the boss fight) or get above 90% on the respective boss fight.
3) Fixed Stage Select now points to the last chapter/stage in progress.
4) Added a minor visual/smooth effect to the chapter selection
5) Added some info for those that first enter the apartment, and/or are not aware they can move.
6) Fixed some typos.

These items will provide a bit more of backstory to the respective boss and will be presented as scattered items throughout the apartment.

Fixes planned but not yet in:
1) Long delay/pauses between dialogues.


There was an issue with the DLC being uploaded wrong through Steam, so if you have the DLC this update will also redownload it.

I'm open to any thoughts, so please share yours if you have them.

No more one shot one kill UPDATE

After some long consideration, and certain voices that have voiced their annoyance over this, even though nobody quite expressed it in a sense that I heard about this and refused to take action, instead it was a silent complaint, I've taken a forward step towards the addition of a new mechanic.

Basically till chapter Nine, where there is a healthbar, till then you have an armor. It kinda works like Ghouls N Goblins, except this one recharges on normal difficulty. Through the use of the shield.

Obviously, falls will still mean death, however when you are hit by an enemy, when your shield is down or can't block said attack, you'll be able to survive the hit. The armor will discharge when it absorbs said hit. That means you need to either wait for about 20 seconds for it to charge on its own, or you can charge it in 2 by using your shield. And then you can take another shot to the face.

That way we make the shield more useful, since many of the players I've seen do ignore it, and you no longer die cause some enemy pulled a gun on you faster, even though now u can see them.

This instructional message will appear on Stage Two, Chapter One, which is the first stage in the game that has enemies.

MESSAGE:

The exoskeleton's armor can prevent lethal damage, when it's fully charged
1) The armor will discharge when it succesfully absorbs damage.
2) It recharges on its own after a little while.

Normal Difficulty:
3)You can speed this process by opening up the SHIELD

UI Interfaces Balance Fixes

On Chapter Ten Boss, damage on the boss has been doubled (Normal Difficulty)
-On Chapter Ten Boss Fight Stage, platforms will no longer disappear(Normal Difficulty)
-On Chapter Seven, Vikings will no longer get up (Normal Difficulty)
-On Chapter Nine, Mech-zombies will no longer get up (Normal Difficulty)
-Doubled the rate of the Hysteria restored (Normal Difficulty)
-Fixed stats regarding Chapter Nine Boss Fight
-Added a UI part, that shows two things:
1) Player's position relative to the level.
2) Closest enemy's position relative to the level.

Interface fixes

INTERFACE Related Adjustments:

-Changed the graphical interface regarding how the speed shows, to actually make sense.
-Added overlay with XBOX controls for Controller Binding UI
-Fixed an issue with the joystick sprint button being the same with the switch weapon

GAMEPLAY Related Adjustments:

-Added a shield minor delay that makes you invulnerable when you turn it off
(That is done to avoid the bullshit factor, mildly put)
-Removed an enemy from Stage 4 Chapter 3
-Fixed enemies on Chapter 5 (The Diving ones, they are now way easier to dodge, before they would calculate the distance and your current speed and predict a falling drop)

Minor update

Thanks to recent feedback,

1) I've added a small UI when the game starts for the first time (till you actually end up playing) that gives the chance to the player to select between preferred control method between
-Mouse
-Keyboard
-Controller

2) Also a fix has been done concerning the 1000 deaths achievement, that ended up being bugged.

3) Hoverboard controls are now better. Up and Down or Jump and Shield

The update is 5.0mb and won't reset or alter progress.

General Fixes Update

I've had a big discussion with a user today, and from the overall experience, you guys and gals, have shared I've updated the game again, with the following fixes.

-Double B

Added a functionality, which means that when playing with the joystick,
if you press double B (which is the back button), the first time it takes u to the respective back button, and the second time, it activates said back button and takes you out of the UI.

-POV Works for MENUS

POV seemed to work only with the game controls before, now it works also with all the menus/UIs.

-CONFIRM BUTTON MOUSE-OVER GRAPHICS

Adjusted the visibility of the mouse-over graphic for the Confirm and Cancel buttons that would appear once you started a new game.

-UI BUTTONS MOUSEOVER GRAPHICS

Adjusted the visibility of the mouse-over graphic for several buttons that would make it hard to discern before, now should be good and very visible where the selection is at.

-Twitching

Fixed a minor twitching glitch that would appear when u first go on the world map screen, from the MAIN MENU.

-Apartment on the MAIN MENU

Fixed an issue, where you could take ur selection on the Apartment, on the World Map Screen, thus making the selection disappear entirely, now, that is no longer possible.

Another minor update.

So taking as much feedback as humanly possible, I've done another update, it's way more unimportant than the previous one, but towards the correct direction I believe.


*Bugfixes*

1) Fixed an issue that would rarely but still occur on Stage 1 Chapter 1 (both modes)


*Reduced difficulty factors regarding Normal Difficulty (Hard mode is unaffected)*


1) Bosses Ichi and Ori are now easier to beat.
-Ichi's platforms move slower now
-Ori takes less hits to kill
-Ori bubble radius decreased a bit as well

The reasoning behind this is that most of the people give up on either of these bosses

3) Now, difficulty scaling, scales lesser for Normal Mode by 50%
4) Moving Bombs on Stage 2 Chapter 2, are now moving slower and thus make the level quite less annoying. And themselves as well.
5) Chapter Eight's Swarm is now disabled for twice the time as it was before, thus making it easier to handle, you're not supposed to allow it to spawn, but at least u can easily outrun it and finish the stage, and get that achievement.


Epilogue.

Honestly, if you think there are bullshit factors, please do report them, I want to make this game as potentially best as humanly possibly, I think the content is there, was always there, I just hope it's accessible.

As always progress will not be affected or deleted ever by any of the updates, so you're in good hands.

Minor yet so important

I've decided that a lot of the issues lying with the game's frustrating nature, lie on the lack of checkpoints, and thus I've implemented two difficulty modes, one with (default), one without. The change should be available on the main menu options, in case you want to change difficulty.

Let me know what you guys think!

Certain stages won't feature this, (4 total) and none of the boss fights will.
Plus we got trading cards and the rest up and running
