Steam Input support status
For some reason, Steam Input might not work in the main menu at launch. You may have to use mouse or touchscreen (which should be working) to start the game;
I was unable to create official layouts for any controllers except for the DualSense controller. Steam did not allow me to create layouts for controllers that were not connected - I only own a DualSense. I am not sure if it is possible to use a layout for other controllers. I will address this issue sooner or later by asking my friends to create layouts or making some community layouts official (in this case, I will release a guide on how to create "developer intended" layout). For now, you may need to create your own controller layout.

Thus, I cannot recommend joining the beta at this time.
However, if you still want to try the game despite the aforementioned issues, you can join the open beta. To do this, select "Ad Fundum" in your library, go to "Properties" -> "Betas" -> "Beta participation" and choose "Open beta - Open beta for Steam Input testing".
