Good afternoon Repeater Record custodians - just a quick post from us! Wax Heads is part of Wholesome Games Steam Event, and so to celebrate we've updated the demo with some small QoL updates aaaaand... FULL CONTROLLER SUPPORT!!! Which means you can now sit back, cozy up with a controller and play the demo at whatever your preferred comfort position. It's something Rothio has been working on and I have to say we're both very happy and think it's already feeling reaaally good! (it's even now our preferred way of playing the game) But please do let us know what you think, your constructive feedback is very welcome. Beyond that, we still have our broadcast of the dev chat between myself & Rothio and also Londi Erazo's Let's play, running on loop on the Wax Heads store page. So please do check them out if you haven't seen them already. Otherwise development continues - here's a sneak peek of a new customer "Big Roy" who used to play in a heavy metal band during the 80s. (Maybe you'll get to meet some of his band mates one day?)

Hello fellow Wax Head collectors, We hope everyone is feeling good and enjoying their summer the best they can! We have just a short announcement today, that Wax Heads is a part of a bunch of upcoming Steam events in August, starting this Thursday 8th with Yogscast Tiny Teams (because what is Patattie Games if not a tiny team!) that runs through until next Thursday 15th. To celebrate we've recorded a video of ourselves playing through (a streamlined version of) the demo and it has us kicking back, sharing some insight between our development process and how we feel about the game so far.
Look out for that video on the front page of our store as it will be looping from Thurs 8th and then throughout the upcoming Steam events until September! (Wax Heads may also pop up in the official Yogscast Streaming Schedule, we'll do a confirmation post on socials once we know, but you can keep an eye out there and check out the rest of the awesome games also made by other awesome tiny teams here:) Also along with our new dev video, there's a companion "Let's Play" video of by Londi Erazo, a content creator who has recorded a really lovely and heartwarming video that we just couldn't resist sharing because it really made our day watching it! After Tiny Teams we'll once again be luckily a part of the Wholesome Games Steam Event on Aug 15th! We'll be pushing a Quality of Life update to the demo for this, which mainly involves controller support - and promises to feels reaaaaally nice and is worth getting excited for!!!

Hello fellow Wax Heads! We hope you're all enjoying the summer :) We have exciting news: Wax Heads' demo is now available to play on Steam for all Mac users!! It's something we've had a lot of requests for, so we're very happy we could open up the opportunity for more people to check out Repeater Records and recommend some excellent albums ^ ^ . Otherwise in other news we recently announced that Wax Heads will be taking part in Indie Dev Day in Barcelona in September and SXSW Sydney in October, both of which we're very excited about. But also, just to say again, we're still blown away with the positive response we've been getting to the announcement of Wax Heads, and as a way of saying thank you - we wanted to share a sneak peek of what we've been working on. Firstly - here is a first look of the core crew of employees you'll be working alongside in Wax Heads; Morgan and Hank you'll know from the demo, Tee you might recognise from our Key Art, but we're happy to introduce Matteo, Paul and Abi as the other half of the pack.
(We can't wait to tell you more about them and their knotty, entangled lives that will spill out all over the course of the full game!) Secondly, one important feature we think for Wax Heads is, the immersion of getting to enjoy working in a record store. As such, we've been experimenting with ways to create more of playful interactions, such as thinking how to start each and every new exciting day at Repeater Records. Take a look:
Thirdly, (and this is more just for fun), Murray recreated one of his favourite albums in Wax Heads form. He's so endeared by it he's considering turning it into a tshirt! Let us know if you think that's a good idea below in the comments!

A warm hello to all you fellow Wax Heads, We have some updates!!! First up, you may have just seen Wax Heads was shown in the Wholesome Games Showcase!! This was an awesome opportunity for us and we're humbled to have been included alongside so many other awesome games! And so to celebrate we're... adding ANOTHER NEW customer puzzle to our current demo!!! Please welcome Craig (and his boyfriend's puppies) to Repeater Records! We hope you enjoy chatting to him and can help him find the record he needs. But that's not all, we also wanted to highlight some recent press drops: Wax Heads was recently covered in The Guardian. For any Spanish speakers, you can watch an interview with DJ Panchi and Rothio. And this coming Wednesday, you can hear Murray talk to Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6. Otherwise, behind the scenes we're currently developing some brand new systems and surprises that we can't wait to share with you! Hello, hello and hello to all you ear tingling, music loving Wax Heads! We just wanted to confirm for anyone who may have missed it - We added a new customer puzzle to the demo, which is Mascot Dad (and his daughter)! They're a fun pair and we suspect they'll be making more than one appearence at Repeater Records in the future... We also just wanted to humbly celebrate that we've had over 10,000 wishlists now since announcing on Steam and that really is so, so awesome. <3 Me and Rothio are honestly so blown away by the response, thank you to all of you who have wishlisted and got the word out - the wishlists really do help us, especially when talking to publishers so we hope to continue the trend! Lastly, me and Rothio also did a "Behind the scenes: dev chat" about Wax Heads last night on stream as being part of the Cerebral Puzzle Showcase. If anyone missed it you can still watch it here! But again thanks to everyone who's wishlisted, played and shared Wax Heads so far - you're truly awesome!!! Hello fellow Wax Heads, We have some exciting news to share: Wax Heads is part of the Cerebral Puzzle Showcase! Aaaand to mark the occasion, we are adding a brand new customer puzzle to the demo! Who are they you may ask? Well we're going to reveal tomorrow when the update goes LIVE at around 7pm BST on Friday, about the same time that Rothio will be on the main showcase stream playing Botany Manor! But not only that, on Sunday at 8pm BST - myself and Rothio will be doing a Dev Q&A to talk all about Wax Heads, our favourite records and anything else that people are curious about - please drop in and hang with us! <3 Puzzle Showcase Streams will appear here!! And there's more fun things to come, but for now we're just so happy with the response since we've gotten since we announced, thank you all for checking us out, wishlisting, playing and sharing - we're so excited to share more about the world of Wax Heads with you!!! Hello vinyl spinners and aspiring Wax Heads! Thank you so much for all of your love and support for our announcement for Wax Heads. <3 We are beyond thrilled to see how many people have wishlisted and played the demo already! And it is with great happiness we can now announce the demo is available for Linux users!!! AND also that we have a new patch with some bug fixes and quality of life updates (which are listed below). We have so many exciting plans and updates to share with you as we continue to develop and we cannot wait to show them!! (Like the amazing physical stand Rothio has put together for Guadalindie this week (if you're in Mlaga make sure to pop by!))
