There's More to Come... Outlook & Early Access Release Date
The development of HexaScape is not finished yet, and if we have our way, it won't be in the next few months. We have a lot of ideas about what mechanics to add to make the game more fun, but we think now is the time to show you the basic framework and let you decide what direction to take from here. That's why we'll be releasing a polished and (for now) feature-complete version into Early Access on May 23rd, just to be open for your thoughts and ideas afterwards to make everything even bigger and better.
If you'd like to join HexaScape on its journey through hostile cyberspace, you're welcome! Our demo gives you a taste of what's to come. Some of you have already tried out the map editor, and since we want to showcase your creations, we're going to start a weekly contest for the best new map. More information coming soon! Very soon, we'll be streaming ourselves, introducing you to our weird ideas. Don't miss it! In the meantime, please give the demo a try, don't hate too much in the forums, and make sure that HexaScape gets a special place on your wish list. And please tell your parents, friends and fellow computer viruses! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2647510/HexaScape_Cyber_Defense/

Hi everyone, Welcome to cyberspace (again)! With HexaScape we want to fulfill a childhood dream and create a game that reminds us of our favorite strategy board game, Carcassonne. It's all about building your own world with tiles - which is fascinating in itself - and at the same time defending it against evil influences (your parents, your friends, or computer viruses). Of course, HexaScape plays a little differently, but that's just because we love the tower defense genre so much that we can't make a game without TD mechanics.

Make yourself comfortable, put on your headphones, and get ready to conquer cyberspace! HexaScape: Cyber Defense is an addictive mix of hex grid puzzler and tower defense mechanics, creating a compelling turn-based strategy game.
As you increase the core’s reach, virus spawners will appear. They spawn viruses and grow stronger with each wave – unless you manage to disable them. Each run feels different: The more you expand into cyberspace, the more abilities the viruses can take on, testing your ability to constantly adapt to new game conditions.

Board game-like mechanics
If you know the board game classic Carcassonne, you’ll instantly feel at home in HexaScape. Players determine the course of the game by placing hexagon tiles: they explore cyberspace, expand the influence of the cyber core, and build a defense line with towers that can be strengthened and upgraded by power clusters. As you increase the core’s reach, virus spawners will appear.
