Noir Syndrome Version 1.4 will be releasing later this week. Included are a number of new features, the main one being optional Challenges. These add a new level of variety to each case, allowing players to unlock permanent bonuses if they choose to complete them. Of course, there's a whole lot more to the patch then that, so take a look at the complete patch notes below. New Features: - Added Challenges to the notebook - The player will receive one optional challenge per game - Completing challenges will increase cash and costume scrap find bonuses permanently - +1 scrap find per challenge point, +1 cash find per two challenge points - Scrap find bonuses also apply to purchasing scraps - Cash find bonuses also apply to looting safes and vaults - Challenges reward double/triple points on hard/impossible modes - Added new "Bullet Cam" that tracks the player's bullets so their flight and destination can be seen - Players can still move between shots, only the vision has changed - Added 2 new unlockable costumes Gameplay Changes: - Cost of items greatly increased on Hard and Impossible modes (175/250% -> 250/400%) - Score bonus greatly improved on Hard and Impossible modes (200/300% -> 300/500%) - NPCs will retaliate faster on harder difficulties - NPCs will mention possible suspects more often - Most food values slightly increased - Some prices slightly increased Fixes and Improvements: - Added button to deselect culprits within the culprit selection screen - Added notification icon over the notebook when it is updated - Updated Stats page to include Challenge Points and Impossible Mode Wins - Added gender icons for each name in the notebook and the culprit selection screen - Minor difficulty tweaks - AI improvements - Minor bug fixes

- Procedural generation: Murder mystery scenarios with a new culprit and clues each time, every play-through is unique.
- Permanent choices: NPCs, interactions, death, and a slew of other features will all persist until a new game is started. Every action counts!
- Notebook: Collect vital clues in the detective's notebook to help narrow down suspects and solve the case.
- Investigation: Interact with and examine numerous objects and characters in a number of environments in the search for more information on the killer.
- Countdown: Given a set number of days to solve the mystery, each area visited will decrement the time left, adding to the urgency of every case.
- Freedom of choice: Attempt to solve the case, or live out your remaining time doing as you please - be it fighting the law, going after gang members, or just seeing the city.
- Gunplay: Combat is generally to be avoided as a single bullet will take down the player. However, when necessary, the revolver is always available for use.
- Badges: Complete a variety of challenges to earn unique badges which directly influence future playthroughs.
- Statistics and Scores: Statistics and high scores for a wide variety of topics will persist through every game.
- Costumes: Multiple unlockable costumes can be earned in game. Play as the default male or female detective, or unlock a variety of new outfits.
- Challenges: Optional challenges unrelated to the main case are generated each game. Every challenge completed provides permanent bonuses to all playthroughs.
