A 90's retro UI, that is a love letter to the golden age of desktop computing, will surely bring back some nostalgia. There's a 1-1 replicated mode which brings maximum authenticity and a "eye protection mode" that captures the essence but is easier on your eye on modern displays.A Game For the People
If your computer can run paint, you can probably run CivIdle. Similar to Industry Idle, the game will NOT include any micro transactions. Instead, the base game will be free of charge and you can optionally get more content, support the game's development and help cover the server expense by purchasing paid expansion packs.
\n\nI have good news for y\'all macOS gamers! CivIdle has an experimental macOS build available - if you install Steam on macOS, Steam should automatically pick it up.\n\nThe build is Intel (x64) but should work on Apple Silicon Macs as well (via Rosetta 2). Unfortunately, I don\'t own an Apple Silicon Mac so it\'s unlikely that I will be able to provide an Apple Silicon build. In fact, the only Mac I currently own is more than 8 years old and had been broken for more than 3 years. I\'ve just recently managed to get it working again, see the photo evidence below:\n\n
\n\nSo until my Mac gives up again, enjoy the macOS build!\n\nCheers,\nFishPond
