Hello! Back with a quick update - a select few sounds in the game weren't attached to the correct effects channel which was making them extra loud!
Particularly the sound effects for flying enemies and unlocking secrets. Sorry to anyone who was affected by this I personally really dislike this sort of a thing. This issue is now fixed. If you happen to find any other sounds that are too loud, please let me know and I will fix them immediately. Also, the trophy button in the main menu now navigates to the proper speedrun.com page for the game.

Hello again! After sitting on this one for a while, I'm deciding to change the qualification time on 5-5 from 6.98 to a more lenient 7.08. It's quite possible that with the underlying engine update, I might have included minor changes in the physics and timing that make it just a little bit too difficult to achieve that time compared to the original version of the game. It is still possible to hit the 6.98 but can involve hacks and tricks that I don't intend players to have to put up with. I know this can be quite unfair to old players who put in the hard work for that level before, so my apologies to anyone who might feel this is not right . But the game is fundamentally different now and it's been almost a decade since the release, so I think it's okay to make this small change to help reduce the suffering for new players who might be struggling a bit too much with this level. The new time is not that much easier to hit, so I think this change keeps in the spirit of World 5 being obtusely difficult as I originally intended it to be. I hope that with this update, your time with the game is smoother and more lovely. Infinite Bliss

Hello! This update adds a Developer Console to the game which can be accessed from the Main Menu.
Hit Shift + F1 to enable the console. For now, the following commands are available for use. 1) "unlock" - a soft unlock that opens all levels in the main menu. This command doesn't affect your saved progress. 2) "reset_secrets" - resets all secrets. This will remove your progress from the save file. Achievements will not be affected. Hello! This update introduces a new options menu. Navigating the settings menu is now a lot easier and intuitive!
Since the settings menu was replaced with a better system, all saved settings will reset to default. New options include independent controller sensitivity, individual X/Y invert & FoV.

Pro tip : The Tab and ~ keys can be used to quickly skip scrollable values. The new input system also finally fixes the issue where you had to leave and press the arrow keys again before starting a new level! Hope you're enjoying the game! Quick hotfix! Attempted fix for speedrun route not working after 1.5 in levels 2-5 & 5-3. Improved autosplitter functionality, now includes world and level index. I've found a solution to the issue where the submit key doesn't work in the menu. Will address in next update! Cheers!

It's been a while!

Hello there fellow Lovelies Hope you're all doing well! It's been eight years since Lovely Planet was first released and it almost feels like a lifetime ago. I've been on and off with sequels and spinoffs of the original game which some of you might have heard of over the years. I've not been actively supporting older titles for a multitude of reasons, mostly because of my interest in exploring new gameplay and ideas. I want to apologize for being absent from the discussion board and a big thanks to all the community members who have provided support for everyone The other reasons range from lazy excuses to formidable technical hurdles that I created for myself unknowingly. With free time on my hands again and a sudden mysterious drive that's bringing me back to working on Lovely Planet , I've crossed one very big technical hurdle with surprisingly little effort. I won't bore you with the technical details, but the game is now ported over to a newer version of the underlying engine. The biggest change - we're supporting modern 64-bit macOS! And now that the game is better positioned for potential future updates, I'll try to touch it up when I get more time. The Linux build will be a while longer, more updates on that soon. Hope you are enjoying the game! If you're looking for a fresh challenge and a little bit more variety in gameplay, I'd suggest giving Lovely Planet Remix a look see! We've patched up the leaderboards and added a simple custom-controls configuration that allows rebindable keys! Here's a full changelog for version 1.3

• Leaderboards now display the 100% accuracy star with record times
• Rebindable controls for keyboard and mouse
• Leaderboards made visible on the Level Select and Ready screens
• Music volume slider in Options Menu
• Some more levels balanced in World 2

Old leaderboard entries will not display the 100% accuracy star. If the record is broken again with 100% accuracy, it will update accordingly.
