On one faithful night, you stumble upon a strange cabin in the middle of the woods. You have no recollection as to who you are, or why the hallucinations and voices in your head guided you there. After getting acquainted with the house guests, you realize all is not as it seems, and must uncover the secret behind a series of mysterious events. You must interact with the characters, gain their trust, form relationships, gather clues to uncover the truth, manipulate people, and decide their fates.

Also, there are naughty scenes in this game

  • 24-hour day/night cycle with plenty of events and activities to keep you invested in the story.


  • Unique character activities at different times of day, and sometimes on specific days only. These change as the story progresses.


  • Build relationships with characters by progressing their stories and helping them out with favors.


You can progress character stories in whichever order you prefer,

  • One thing I like to convey to the player is the character's emotions while speaking. So I created, and hand-pick face emotes to give every line of dialogue more impact.
  • I also utilize different kinds of screen transitions depending on the context of the scene/dialogue to make them more lively.


There are over 50 unique songs in the game, that I made myself in FL Studio. I highly recommend playing with the music turned on, to experience the game as it was intended.

I've already created a story plan for the entire game. There are 7 Chapters in total.

v0.5.7

This update is a very important milestone. I had to make sure all the quest designs and code for the whole chapter were finalized and perfect; otherwise, there might be a chance that your save files would be incompatible with future updates, and I never want that to happen. Took a loooot of planning and testing to get here.

v0.5.7 serves as a brief introduction to the new characters, mostly Christine. I\'ll be touching on the more serious stuff in version 0.5.8.

It\'s been a long time since I made an update like this; switching back and forth between the writing, coding, and rendering phases, it\'s super draining lol, but I really wanted to get an update out while working on the dialogues for Chapter 3. I should be able to return to my previous method of writing the whole chapter first, and then making the renders by the next update, without causing delays.

I lost count of how many times I redid Christine\'s renders . I didn\'t like her costume, then I didn\'t like her morphs, so I redid those. Her face also. And each time, I had to re-render every single scene she was in. Never doing that again. But I think I\'m relatively happy with what I settled on.

Russian Language

This update includes Russian translations for Chapters 1 and 2 only. Please keep in mind that the next time I will be updating the translations will be after Chapter 3 is completed. This applies to all other languages as well.

The dialogues were manually translated, but the UI elements were still translated with the use of online tools, so you might see some inconsistencies with the naming. I will work on improving those in the future. If you experience any issues with it, be sure to hit me up on the Discord server. I\'m more responsive there.

Achievements

For Chapter 3, I will most likely be adding new achievements after the whole chapter is completed.

Season 1

Chapter 3 will be the end of Cabin Corpse Season 1, and I aim to finish it sometime next year. My original plan for this game was to increase the price after all the chapters were completed, but instead, I decided to leave the price as is, mark the end of Chapter 3 as the end of Season 1, then make Season 2 the same price as this. Your progress will be transferable between seasons when the time comes.

This is really gonna give me the much-needed time to polish the earlier sections of the game, add new features, and cut back on how bloated and error-prone the project files are becoming.

Update on Russian Translations

My Russian translator has made a lot of progress in translating chapters 1 and 2.

He\'s about 60& finished. I originally planned to release the translations on November 1st, but please keep in mind that the translator is helping with this during his free time from his full-time job, so there was a little delay. We will try to have the translations out sometime in November, so stay tuned, and thank you so much for your patience

Unity Security Patch [0.5.63]

Sup!

This one was kind of an unplanned update.

Apparently, Unity recently released a patch to fix a security issue in the engine. Now, every game developed with it needs to be updated using the latest version.

Version 0.5.7 is still in development, the dialogues have all been written, and I\'m currently working on the renders. But more updates on that soon.

There are some new additions in this version, albeit a little. Just some things I was making on the side while creating the content for 0.5.7.

It\'s not much, but I went back and remade some of the old renders for the intro sequence. I didn\'t just increase the resolution, I literally reconstructed and improved the scenes from scratch.

[p align=\"start\"]Man, these past couple of weeks have been a crazy emotional rollercoaster, what with all the censorship news going around, especially with adult games. It\'s been really tough trying to stay focused, but I managed to get some work done.[/p][p align=\"start\"]There\'s so much stuff I did, I\'m not even sure what to include in the devlog [/p]

Quest Planning

[p align=\"start\"]Done! I was able to create all the chapter 3 quests, and even played through all of them in the game. Without the dialogues, of course. The dialogue files are empty placeholders for now.[/p][p align=\"start\"]Here\'s the roadmap for Chapter 3. Each of these cards represents a quest objective/dialogue (blurred out for obvious reasons). I may end up moving some stuff around as I continue to work on the chapter, so you can think of it as a first draft.[/p]

There are 68 cards/dialogues in total, more or less the same as Chapter 2. Some will be shorter than others.

Implementing these in the code was a nightmare. Last time I only had 4 characters to work with... Now it\'s 8 . I\'ve already played and tested the quests multiple times to make sure there are no bugs, and so far I think I\'ve caught most of them, but I\'ll probably have to do several more in the future. Sandbox games are a pain to make lol, but I love it.

[p align=\"start\"]My progress tracker in the future will be based on these cards. So the completion percentage will depend on how many dialogues I\'ve written. (The image is a sample btw, I\'ve not actually written 30)[/p]

The frustrating part is that I like to make multiple versions of each render so I can pick the best-looking one.

Game Design Stuff

This update took waaaay longer than I would have liked it to. But there was a reason for that.

As some of you know, I had all kinds of health issues since the start of the year, spending most of my time at the hospital, so I wasn't able to get much work done on the game.

I really wish I could have released this update a lot sooner but I've been sick since the start of this year.
On top of the fever that won't seem to go away, I tore my plantar fascia, and a few days ago I got carpal tunnel on both hands that makes doing just about anything on my computer extremely painful.
Here's hoping things turn around very soon so I can get back to working non-stop on the game.

"I Dream Of Evelyn" Achievement Fix Patch [0.5.43]

v0.5.43 Changes
- Fixed an issue where the "I Dream Of Evelyn" achievement could not be unlocked even after completing the sequence.

Hey guys! This one is a very minor patch.
I was looking at the achievements completion page a few minutes ago and noticed no one had completed the Evelyn achievement, so I went into the project files to review my code and noticed I forgot to include it
I added and tested it in one of my previous system designs but accidentally omitted it on the final one.

But ya, it's fixed now
If you recently played the scene in the last patch (0.5.42), the achievement should unlock the moment you load your save game.

Achievements Patch [0.5.42]

v0.5.42 Changes
- I've created 23 new Achievements that can now be unlocked in the game.
- Balanced the Charlie nighttime sequence
- A whole lotta technical changes that I lost track of, but you don't have to worry about those

For existing save files, some achievements will be unlocked immediately after loading your save game.
However, most of them will have to be replayed due to the new variables I created to keep track of the achievement's progress. Once an old save is loaded, these new variables will be initialized to zero, and then properly updated the next time you save/load a game.

For the Achievements integration, what I did was more complicated than just making the achievements trigger once a certain dialogue line is read. I created a complex system that allows me to set complex requirements to unlock achievements.
To get this to work exactly the way I wanted, I had to overhaul existing core systems in the game and even modified several existing dialogues.

I've thoroughly tested all my changes, but if anyone encounters any issues, please let me know.
