Hey everyone! I just released a new update for the demo. Main changes:

  • added -> leaderboard for speedrun (complete the demo for playtime to be submitted).
  • added -> option for the player to choose whether tutorial messages should be shown.

    • Check and Slash combines the action and combat of a hack and slash game with the movement patterns of chess pieces. Find your way through a maze of boards, slash your enemies, dodge attacks, rescue black pieces to receive upgrades and fight against formidable opponents until you find the enemy king.

    FEATURES:

    • Real-time action, not turn-based.
    • Chess rules combined with action game mechanics.
    • The map is a procedurally generated maze (random path).
    • With each enemy killed, your attack becomes stronger.
