The 1954 FIFA World Cup features over 140 national teams, each with unique historical attributes, flags, and Elo ratings. Notably, Hungary achieved an unprecedented Elo rating of 2230 on June 30, 1954, just before their final match against West Germany. This database also highlights how the Netherlands, Soviet Union, and East Germany were relatively unknown before their rise to prominence in the following decades.
