The competition format editor has been reorganized into two primary sections for each stage: Basic and Qualifications. Depending on the stage type, the Qualifications section may have two or three sub-sections: Auto-qualified teams, Other stages, and Knockout brackets.
In the Other stages section, you now have the flexibility to select any stages from any competitions, allowing for greater customization of rules. Additionally, if a team is eligible for multiple rules, the simulator automatically selects the next highest-ranked team to fill available spots.
For example, in the Confederations group stage, the qualifications include World Cup champions, runners-up, and other major continental tournament champions. If Spain were to win both the EURO and World Cup, the simulator would automatically select the EURO Cup runner-up to fill the available spot.
Simulation all until
This setting enables you to specify when the simulator should stop further match simulation. You have three options to choose from: - Stop when the current stage is completed: This option tells the simulator to stop the simulation when all matches of the current stage are finished. - Stop when all stages under a specific phase / tab are completed: This option is useful for World Cup qualifiers, where you want to simulate all matches across all continental qualifiers. - Stop until the current round is completed: This option is used for knockout stages. These settings are typically not required for editing, but they are provided for those who wish to experiment with various scenarios. Web version: https://simcups.com
