This is the first patch targeting fixes and suggestions made during the previous playtest! Windows and Linux staging build has been updated to v0.0.495 with the following changes:

Improvements

• Esc key closes all open dialog windows.
• NPC quest dialogs will now return you to the NPC dialog view after completing a quest.
• Tab targetting ignores players.
• Better click detection for Wolves, Pond Gunk, Llyn Foulkes, and Chickens.
• Significant performance and behavioural improvements to enemy pathfinding

Balancing

• Corpses now remain for 120 seconds (instead of 60) in the overworld, in instances they now remain for 10 minutes.
• Copper and Tin bar smelting will now give 1 or 2 bars.
• Mob aggro is further, and will adjust depending on your level compared to the enemy.
• Forest spiders are now aggressive.
• Token of Friendship rewards increased where they were previously too low.
• Meat for Stone Soup quest chain drop rate increased for 1-3 level humanoids.
• Bronze Bar now requires Tin Bar and Copper Bar.
• Rock Salt drop rate increased from Copper Nodes.
• Barry Trotter now sells Rock Salt.

Bug fixes

• Wolves now walk aligned to the terrain.
• Player no longer loudly annouces when they are toggling nameplate visibility.
• Starter village fountain collision mesh is now correct for the model.
• Loot window disappears if corpse despawns or you move out of range.
• Ultrawide resolutions will now be usable.
• No longer sit/stand whilst standing due to pressing X/Space
• NPC quest icon updates correctly when pre-requisite quests are completed
• Removed built-in debug commands from public builds
• No longer shown "You are already performing that action" error message when picking posies
• Visible weapons/shields in hands
• Long weapon grip points are now scaling correctly (though some may still be incorrect)
• Players can now be clicked on their whole body, not just their feet
