Tears of Vanfell - Major Gameplay Update 28/09

We've been working on a few updates these past couple weeks. Mostly bug fixes, but we also included one or two new features for you to try out.

Tome/Scroll Rework

The magical weapons were a bit underwhelming to use, so we changed them slightly. Players can now shoot at will, and projectiles home when in range of an enemy.

Companion

Tweaked companion behavior, including AI improvements for better player following and combat interaction as well as balancing skills.

Minimap Improvements

Added icons to rooms, to display which rewards are available after clearing one.

New Environments

Added some new room designs, with all new furniture. Also, breakables now have a chance to drop Tears when broken (finally!)

Blacksmith

The blacksmith now offers better bonuses when players use his services, including discounts on weapon upgrades and increased efficiency in upgrades.

The Rest

Many, many bug fixes (disconnects should be a lot less frequent), missing SFX added, UI improvements, improved some interactables' visibility.

Tears of Vanfell - Chapter 1 is an action-packed dungeon crawler with roguelike and hack-'n-slash elements. Choose between a wide cast of characters and climb the Mountain as you swap weapons and grow stronger with up to three friends in online Co-op.

Climb the Mountain

Explore and climb the procedurally-generated Mounta into find and defeat Bosses, and continue on your journey. During your adventure, you'll pick up powerful new abilities, weapons and equipment, all of which you'll need to use if you plan on surviving.

Online Co-op

Explore the Mountain alongisde up to three friends as a team! Or, if you would rather take on the Mountain by yourself, don't worry -- you may also bring another member of your camp to help you out.

Rest At Your Camp

Prepare yourself for your next expedition at yoru campsite. At first, it will be just you and your thoughts... but as you explore, you'll find others willing to help you out -- from other explorers with unique skills, to specialists who can help behind the scenes.

Discover the Mountain's Secrets

During your adventures, you'll meet many characters and grow to understand them and their motivations. But you may also find yourself caught up in the aftermath of a century-old war...
