Pairs & Perils - Day 1 - Bug Fixes & Balance Update

Hey Heroes! We listened to your feedback and investigated some bugs, we have a post launch update, that focuses on difficulties, quest balances and bug fixes.
Balance
Cards
- Lullaby: Increased Sleep effect from 2 3.
- Bard (Upgraded): Reduced Sleep effect from 3 2.
- Vampirize (Upgraded): Adjusted Fangs effect from 2 random Ally cards 3 Fangs to 1 random Ally card.
Items
- Money Box: Fury effect now capped at Max 3 Fury (previously uncapped).
Enemies
- Dark Paladin:
- Attack reduced from 2 0.
- Counter reduced from 4 3.
Quests
- Never Saw That Coming: Updated requirement from "One shot an enemy" "One shot an enemy with 5 or more Health."
- Quick Thinking: Increased challenge from "Win a battle without taking damage" "Win 4 battles without taking damage in a single run."
- Remembrance: Increased match requirement from "Match 3 pairs in succession" 4 pairs.
- Memorizer: Increased match requirement from "Match 4 pairs in succession" 5 pairs.
- Tightwad: Increased gold requirement from "Accumulate 50 gold" 70 gold.
Difficulty
- Hard: Traps now gain +1 attack on hard battles.
- Dungeon Master:
- +1 additional trap in every battle.
- Traps gain +1 attack on hard battles.
- Traps that apply debuffs now appear in hard battles.
- Effects applied to cards facing down are no longer displayed.
- Hero gains mana only on correct card combinations.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the boss would not appear when continuing from a previous save.
- Buff removal now properly removes the card's extra damage.
- Debuff removal now properly removes the card's negative damage.
- Fixed an issue where the shield effect did not block incoming damage.
- Resolved a visual bug where selected cards would appear on top of the deck and graveyard screens.
- Empower no longer upgrades itself unintentionally.
- Fixed a bug where enemies could attack even if Sleep was applied.
Quality of Life (QoL)
- Added text feedback for invalid skill usage (e.g., no mana, wrong turn, not in battle, or no traps available with Alchemist).
- Updated descriptions for Hard and Dungeon Master difficulty modes for clarity.

Memorize the cards on the table. Pair heroes with their corresponding weapons to attack enemies and avoid traps at all costs. Traps deal damage and skip your turn. Enemies have their own attack counters that decrease with each passing turn, bringing them closer to attacking.
After every battle you visit the Merchant's Goods, where you are able to purchase new relics and consumable cards. Relics are cards with passive effects which trigger when certain conditions are met and consumables can be used to aid you in battle. Try different builds and see what works for you!
Enemies may have special abilities that can be used against you, ranging from stealing gold to spawning a bunch of skeleton cards on the table. Or, you know, destroying the relic that took you so long to acquire. Ugh, I hate slimes.
Each playthrough is different. Enemies are random and so are relics and consumables. You never know what you will find in the next room.
In the depths of the dungeon, in the last room, a ruthless boss will be waiting for you. The bosses can vary with each playthrough.
