Hey Heroes! We listened to your feedback and investigated some bugs, we have a post launch update, that focuses on difficulties, quest balances and bug fixes.

Balance

Cards

• Lullaby: Increased Sleep effect from 2 3.
• Bard (Upgraded): Reduced Sleep effect from 3 2.
• Vampirize (Upgraded): Adjusted Fangs effect from 2 random Ally cards 3 Fangs to 1 random Ally card.

Items

• Money Box: Fury effect now capped at Max 3 Fury (previously uncapped).

Enemies

• Dark Paladin:
  • Attack reduced from 2 0.
  • Counter reduced from 4 3.

Quests

• Never Saw That Coming: Updated requirement from "One shot an enemy" "One shot an enemy with 5 or more Health."
• Quick Thinking: Increased challenge from "Win a battle without taking damage" "Win 4 battles without taking damage in a single run."
• Remembrance: Increased match requirement from "Match 3 pairs in succession" 4 pairs.
• Memorizer: Increased match requirement from "Match 4 pairs in succession" 5 pairs.
• Tightwad: Increased gold requirement from "Accumulate 50 gold" 70 gold.

Difficulty

• Hard: Traps now gain +1 attack on hard battles.
• Dungeon Master:
  • +1 additional trap in every battle.
  • Traps gain +1 attack on hard battles.
  • Traps that apply debuffs now appear in hard battles.
  • Effects applied to cards facing down are no longer displayed.
  • Hero gains mana only on correct card combinations.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where the boss would not appear when continuing from a previous save.
• Buff removal now properly removes the card's extra damage.
• Debuff removal now properly removes the card's negative damage.
• Fixed an issue where the shield effect did not block incoming damage.
• Resolved a visual bug where selected cards would appear on top of the deck and graveyard screens.
• Empower no longer upgrades itself unintentionally.
• Fixed a bug where enemies could attack even if Sleep was applied.

Quality of Life (QoL)

• Added text feedback for invalid skill usage (e.g., no mana, wrong turn, not in battle, or no traps available with Alchemist).
• Updated descriptions for Hard and Dungeon Master difficulty modes for clarity.

Hi all, Based on the feedback youve been providing, we made a huge update to the demo. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us and please let us know what you think about this new version! Here are the main things that were added / changed:

• You can now build your deck within a run
• Cards have effects besides just dealing damage
• Battle encounters with multiple enemies
• New enemies
• Pretty much every item got reworked, now there are no longer effects based on probability
• Color blind options for cards

You now start with 5 cards, which can be rerolled before beginning the run. You can acquire more cards by purchasing them at the merchant.

By adding multiple enemies and card effects, a new layer of strategy was added to the game, where you cant just mindlessly keep turning cards until you get a match. You have to think what effects you want to trigger and who you want to defeat first.
We also heard your complaints about the game being too RNG heavy, so based on that and in other successful games in the genre, we decided to remove every luck-based effect, so you can strategize better. We changed the card background colors so they wont be too similar to one another and also added names to them, so you can now find their pair by looking either at their bg color, or name, or portrait. You can also go to the settings and change the card color mode to one of those: deuteranopia; protanopia; tritanopia. In the near future we will add more ways of getting healed, acquire / remove cards and maybe upgrade them. Also more toggles to the settings for things like bloom, film grain and screenshake. Hi all! First of all, thank you for playing the demo and leaving your review in the feedback form! Ive read all of it and had a few ideas that I would like to share with you! Although not final, you can get a glimpse of what I have in mind for the full release version: Features There are four major points that most of you asked for, which are:

• Cards triggering effects when combined
• Deck-building
• More events than just battles and shops
• Multiple enemies at once

The idea is, you start a new run with just a small deck, which can have more cards added to it by accessing certain events. Each combination (ally card + weapon card) will have its own effect. For example, you are fighting 3 enemies at once, so you pair the Bard with his Lute and it boosts the damage of your next attack. Then, you match the Barbarian with the Warhammer, so he receives an attack bonus and triggers his own effect, which deals damage to all enemies in the table, crushing them all. You could have a more offensive deck or maybe you would like to have more visibility of the cards in the battlefield. So you add a mage to your deck, which gives information of the nearby cards, or a hunter which reveals random traps and so on. More than just battles and shop events, there would be events to heal your hero, upgrade your cards and acquire new ones. We are also considering adding a map similar to other roguelike deckbuilding games, to give you more freedom and letting you decide your own path. Fighting multiple enemies at once would add another layer of strategy, so you would have to choose which one to defeat first. We are also considering adding reserve card slots, where you can keep up to two cards to be used later in the fight, so you dont have to rely 100% on memory every time. Accessibility and QoL We will be adding more options to improve the gameplay experience, some of them are:

• Speed up animations
• Enable / disable grain effect
• Enable / disable bloom effect
• Better distinction between card colors
• Colorblind options
• Better HUD information
• Interactive tutorial

Well also add many more items, enemies and heroes and balance the current ones to give you a better experience! Those are our current plans for the future.
