Hello dearest Armellians,
It's happening. We're ready to commit to Fury Friday as a weekly event and I hope that you're as happy (& furious) as we are.
FURY FRIDAY!
As always, it'll be longer than 24 hours to hit as many Fridays as we can around the world.
It will begin roughly 2:00pm Thursday PDT and it will conclude at roughly 2:00am on Saturday PDT.
When Fury Friday is active, games started through Public Multiplayer will have the
Fury Mode House Rule active and the King will have one less health. This will mean quick, action packed Armello experiences to mix things up in the multiplayer queue.
Here are the key elements of Fury Mode
- Very short turn times
- Turn timer pauses in combat and perils
- Burndown timer reduced in combat and perils
- A short card draw timer applies per card
- Questing / Hidden encounter timer is no longer independent, and instead adds time to your current turn timer
- Shortened King’s Declaration timer
- Shortened transitional sequences and AI animations
- Instead of resetting the timer, taking actions grants seconds to your current turn.
- Visualisation implemented for turn timer adjustments
- Timer is visible at all times
There's a little FAQ (excuse the semi-copypasta) below because I just know you've got questions.
Happy gaming!

"More like FURRY MODE lol"
Haha okay friend we know, we know. <3 ːspiritstoneː
"Does Fury Friday happen every Friday?"
From now on, yes, it will. GET EXCITED!
"I don't like Fury Mode, what do I do on Fridays?!"
That's a bummer and I'm sorry to hear that. Everyone has their preference and, I hope you at least try it once or twice but I'm not going to tell you how to live your life. You can still play classic Armello in singleplayer and private multiplayer if your heart so desires. Otherwise, here's a few other activities you can do during this time:
- Find a cardboard box and duct tape. Use it to craft armour and challenge a friend to friendly duel.
- Do a real-life trickery play and tell a friend that a mutual friend of yours was talking smack about them behind their back. There's no better way to assert your dominance.
- Bake a chocolate caramel cheesecake (obviously, the closest real-life action to casting a spell).
Jokes aside, it would be silly for us to assume that 100% of players want it this way. We are completely convinced, however, that this offers a variety in gameplay that ultimately provides more satisfying options to more players. We're going to keep working on creating more variety in Armello's future.
"Can you please create two queues so that it's optional"
We're always looking for ways to make the most amount of people happy. Happy gamers means happy developers. Maybe one day we'll be able to implement another queue, but our current infrastructure supports one so this is how things will be until further notice. They call me Darcy, not "Two Queue Tony", okay.
"When will this event begin and when will it end?"
As said above, it will begin roughly 2:00pm Thursday PDT and it will conclude at roughly 2:00am on Saturday PDT. If you're not in the PDT timezone then all is lost and life is chaos (or use a cool widgetty thing
like this to convert the time for you).
Also, I say roughly because we are merely meat creatures on a rock floating through existence, and anything can happen. Someone might delay us with a cardboard armour duel or something idk.
