Hello everyone, Weve been listening to your feedback and are excited to roll out an update to improve your experience in Yugo: The non-game. Heres whats new:
Public Sessions List
Now, you can browse a list of ongoing sessions to join rather than relying solely on the "Join random session" button. Each session shows the session name and how many people are currently along for the ride. In the future, we may add more details, like the preferred language for each session.
Drive the Yugo in Your Language
Yugo is now available in Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and French, making it easier for you to dive into the experience from wherever you are. If you spot any issues in the translations, please let us knowwed be happy to improve them.
Voice Feedback Cancelling
To make conversations clearer, especially when using speakers, weve added voice feedback cancelling. Now, you can chat more comfortably even without headsets. As always, feel free to reach out on our Discord channel with any feedback or suggestions. Thanks for being part of this journey with us! In Two Minds Studio

Dear Players, Were excited to announce the release of 2.0 Version of Yugo: the non-game! This update brings some of your highly requested features and improvements on other aspects of the non-game. We sincerely appreciate the kind and encouraging comments that have motivated us to keep working and updating the project. A special thank you to all the players who have supported us and patiently awaited these updates. Below is a list of the new changes:
- Public sessions are finally a thing!! You can still talk privately with your friends and also join random sessions with strangers.
- Your own radio stations! The radio has been updated to feature fully customizable radios. Radio stations can be added and removed and they will automatically sync with everyone else in the car. We provided a website database to find the stream URLs and you can find most of the internet radios there.
- Revamped driving mechanics! We have completely reengineered the way the car drives, handles and feels.
- Self driving is also much smarter now allowing you to have a smoother ride.
- We added a few maps, so each drive can feel a bit different and new.
- And a multitude of optimization techniques and smaller features that make it a majorly improved experience.

When a player starts a session, they are the car driver, and each person that joins is seated in one of the other three passenger seats. Players are automatically connected via voice chat. The radio stations are real-life internet radio streams and several of them are available by default, and more can be added or removed by the players.
The environment, while it is abstracted and contextless, still contains elements of a certain time and region. The serpentine roads in the game are inspired by the mountainous roads going from Kosovo to Montenegro. The car is modeled after Yugo, an iconic car produced in Yugoslavia in the 1980s’. The time of the day is reminiscent of dusks in Kosovo, mostly because of the omnipresence of crows and the sounds they make at evening flying back to their nests for the night. Similarly reminiscent of that region are also the monolithic-like objects on top of hills, inspired by Socialist-era Yugoslavian monuments in Kosovo and the rest ex-Yugoslavia. Aside from the significance they have for the area and people there, they have a striking visual appearance that blur the time and place perceptions.
