Hello fellow survivalists, Creatures A war is going to be launching in less than two weeks! As of right now a new demo was just released! This will be our final demo update. This update includes a new gore system, balance tweaks, backend fixes, skipping adjustments, additional save slots, and more. The new gore system detects the type of circumstance that killed the player and then applies proper skin and animation adjustments at runtime to determine the type of death that should occur to the player. Feel free to let the "Triceratops" kill you a few times to see some of the new animations at work! In addition to the new gore system the team has been hard at work balancing, polishing, adjusting, and doing whatever it takes to get "Creatures Of War" ready for launch. Some of the more interesting bits to share with you all includes the boss fight adjustments I have been making personally. The Spinosaurus boss fight for example had a bridge that could be "camped on" quite easily to avoid having to fight the creature where he could use his full arsenal of attacks. I realized how easy it was to abuse this fight and came up with the idea to have the geysers in the room to produce steam that would damage the player over time if they remained on the bridge. This then forces the player to use the zipline nearby to relocate to the floor where the Spinosaurus is located, and thus the fight ensues, face to face. Simple gameplay adjustments such as the previous example have been added all over the game to make "Creatures of War" a more fun and enjoyable playthrough experience for every to take in on October 23rd. For now the team will be tirelessly working until the finish line. While there is still a lot of work left to be done, I believe it is possible to get everything strung together in time for release. I am very excited for this opportunity moving forward and can't wait to share "Creatures Of War" to everyone in the near future.
