Mazewar is a remake inspired by the first-ever multiplayer first-person shooter, dating back to 1973. Modernized and subtly enhanced with new mechanics, this iteration stays true to the original, honoring its legacy and giving it back to the community.
Traverse through multiple levels, battling enemy eyes, compete against friends on servers in this grid-based, vector-graphics shooter.
New features that set this version apart from the classic include:
The ability to dodge enemy fire.
Turning invisible while revealing enemies' positions.

Unlockables such as color themes to customize your visual experience.
Competitive, fast-paced, and strategic gameplay.
Take advantage of objects scattered throughout the maze to shield yourself from enemy fire.
A leaderboard to track and showcase the best players.
some bugs and performance improvements have been applied.
Ive also added a Ghosting frame accumulation / trailing effect inspired by old vector monitors from the 1970s.
The Ghosting effect can be enabled or disabled in the settings.
Below is reference footage of the original Maze (1973) running on a PDS-1.
