Splittown is for the point-and-click fans who feel that the genre has lost its way since classics like Day of the Tentacle and Sam & Max Hit The Road. With a story that adapts to player choices, Splittown offers a familiar yet fresh addition to the point-and-click canon, drawing additional inspiration from immersive sims like Deus Ex, CRPGs like Planescape: Torment, and even contemporary games like Disco Elysium.

Splittown embraces the absurdity and whimsy of 90s point-and-clicks, while also drawing from the rich world-building, branching narratives, and player agency of classic CRPGs. Characters you meet aren't there just to be joke dispensers; they have their own motivations, backstories, and arcs. Similarly, the choices you make in dialogue or exploration aren’t just for show—they carry real weight in a world that feels lived-in and authentic.

Every nook and cranny has been crafted with care over nearly a decade, resulting in a game world brimming with life and interactivity. Whether you’re delving into lore, engaging in unexpected side quests, or simply experimenting with the environment, you’ll find that the world reacts to your actions in surprising ways. It’s a small world, but it’s packed with depth—rewarding those who take the time to explore its many layers.

Splittown is an undeniably funny game, but it's not a relentless barrage of jokes and winks to the camera. We've set out to create a narrative filled with genuine moments of suspense, sadness, triumph, and everything in between. The world of Splittown might be absurd on the surface, but for the characters living in it, their struggles and victories are very real.
Hello agents! Splittown 1.1 Update is here
This is a major update with bug fixes and improvements across the whole game (including a completely new tutorial system, a bunch of work on puzzle flow, sequencing, and adjustments to the Otis DLC content).
These adjustments were made possible by your feedback, reviews and gameplay videos. We truly appreciate each of you who has reached out to make Splittown play even better!
Patch 1.1 will break old save games!
\nBecause of the scope of the changes in 1.1, save games from earlier versions might not be fully compatible with this update.
What this means in practice:
Your existing saves will load in 1.1 but the game will throw a warning and ask you to restart from a previous chapter using the Chapter menu (or starting a new game).
[list]You can attempt to continue, but do this at your own peril.
[/*]
If you were mid-chapter, expect to replay some of that chapter. But youll be on the fixed version of the game going forward!
[/*]This sucks, we know! But these changes let us address a loooong list of issues (see below) instead of applying more band-aids.\n
