Announcement about the next update (the biggest one yet) Its been a while since I last wrote something here, so lets fix that right now. Heres some news, broken into three parts (because I like structureits my obsessive side, I guess): Regarding the demo currently available: -By the end of the year, a major update will be rolled out for the Emergency Exit demo. I can already tell you that there will be a noticeable change in the games visuals. Will the art style drastically change? Yes and no. Fundamentally, the overall artistic direction will remain the same: the graphics will retain their minimalist style, but the change will still be striking! The games visual identity will be even more pronounced. I think youll like it. Personally, Im very happy with the changes. -Ill also take this opportunity to improve a few things, particularly the user interface and feedback for some player actions. -Finally, Ive decided to extend the demo so it better reflects what the final game will be like. Youll now have access to the first three levels instead of just two. Regarding the progress of the game itself: -I havent announced a release date yet, and I wont do so today. However, heres an estimate: Emergency Exit will launch in the first quarter of 2025. Its not that far away. -Ive chosen to take my time with development and expand the games content, but not in the way you might expect. I have to stay vague to avoid spoiling anything. Just know that Im progressing (intentionally) slowly but steadily! The part nobody cares about (so why not write it, since no one will read it): Emergency Exit isnt attracting much attention. Its genre is niche, its art style isnt the most eye-catching, and the fact that its an online co-op game adds another layer of look how niche I am. As a result, there arent many wishlists so far. The bright side? (Theres always one.) : There are almost as many people who played the demo as there are wishlists. This tells me that my audience (yes, you!) may be small but is genuinely interested in what Im offering. Lets be honest: faced with this situation, a developer usually has two options. Option 1: Cancel the project or cut out a large part of what was planned to limit the losses and move on to something else. Option 2: See the project through to the end, polish the game, and try to deliver the best experience possible to the (few) players who are waiting for it. After giving it some thought, I made my choice. Ive chosen the second option. With that, Ill see you in the next update, which will likely coincide with the release of version 1.0.4 by the end of the year. Until then, take care! Romain

Emergency Exit: Puzzles, Communication, and Escape
Discover Emergency Exit, an intense cooperative game where you must guide your teammate through the darkness and solve puzzles together. Communicate constantly, be resourceful, synchronize your actions, but remain quick and efficient. Avoid traps, solve puzzles and find the emergency exit before time runs out!
Your attention: Emergency Exit does not include a traditional tutorial. This is entirely intentional and part of the game’s vision. There’s what’s on the screen, and then there’s what’s implied, hidden, obscure, or deliberately left unexplained
Key Features:
Two players, two distinct roles:
*The first player, equipped with a limited-battery flashlight, navigates alone through an emergency escape plan. Flames spread, deadly traps are triggered, and disturbing noises are heard in the distance... He must advance carefully, remain vigilant and not get lost.
*The second player, from the control room, does not hear or see the first player. His mission is to guide his partner through the darkness, protect him from various dangers and help him solve puzzles. For this, he has an emergency manuals containing notes and instructions for solving puzzles, as well as several control panels filled with buttons, levers, screens and switches, allowing him to manipulate the environment (open doors , trigger sprinklers, manage access to ventilation ducts, etc.). However, each system consumes electricity, which must then be managed wisely.
Difficulty:
The further you progress, the more obstacles there are, puzzles become more complex, and time becomes crucial. Mistakes have no place here. Add to this several game modes, adding additional constraints and requiring perfect mastery of the puzzles and effective communication between players. Few players will be able to complete all these challenges...
Replayability:
For the full experience, it is recommended to complete the game playing both roles. Will you do better than your partner when you take their place? You will win or fail together, but it will surely be each other's fault.Secrets to Discover:
You’re not the first to explore the depths of Emergency Exit. Pages from a scattered journal lie within the levels, holding both clues and unanswered questions.
Secrets and surprises await the most curious players. The Perfect Duo:
Reaching the exit of each level is good, but doing it in record time, without making mistakes, while saving all the lost cats, is even better... Achieve the highest scores and earn the right to brag!
Inspired by classics of the genre such as Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Operation: Tango or We Were Here Together, Emergency Exit caters to fans of cooperative and puzzle games, where communication is as essential as the ability to handle pressure.
