Hi everyone! I know it hasn't been long since the last update, but there have been some major/critical bugs that I've sorted out and it's better to push them sooner rather than later. Changes:
- Fixes non 1920x1080 resolutions not working.
- Fixes spirits not being placable in an adjacent tile to another tower.
- Fixes lag caused by huge amounts of blood on higher waves.
- Fixes the background music suddenly ignoring volume settings and playing at full volume.
- Introduces new steam store-page artwork.
- Fixes spells placed on a tower getting stuck to the mouse for 250ms when releasing after dragging them.
- Towers can no longer be placed inside walls if you move them after being placed in a valid location.

Hi everyone! After we released the game demo in a relatively early state, we have been getting some valuable feedback and data. In this post, we will go other some of the upcoming content that we have been planning for the game.
Endless Mode
Endless mode is the biggest thing coming with the next demo update. This will likely be the last large content patch we will be putting into the demo before we move to work on finalising and releasing the full game. Endless mode has several new features, and will work in the following ways:
- In endless mode, the waves are calculated algorithmically using a seeded random. This means that you will have the same waves as everyone else, and each level will be consistent every time you play.
- You will only start with some basic cards unlocked, further cards need to be unlocked through the mid-wave shop.
- Between each wave, a shop will open which allows you to purchase upgrades. This includes new cards, upgrades to your characters and global upgrades such as increased damage which will allow you to survive longer.
- In the demo, you will be limited in how long you can play for before being forced to restart.
- Global & Friend leaderboards
Quality of Life Improvements
Pause Menu
We will be introducing a pause menu that allows you to configure your settings mid-game.
Manual Wave Progression
Currently, after each wave you have about 5 seconds to setup your characters before the next wave appears. We plan to change this so that the player has to manually progress to the next wave, allowing you to have time to customise your defense between waves.
Improved Tooltips
We will be expanding where we use tooltips to include the spells assigned to a character. Currently players are forced to remember what each spell does, which can be daunting for a new player. With tooltips, it will be much easier to analyse a character and determine how to improve their combat effectiveness.

The Vespia: Shield of Aberration demo has been released. This is a pre-release demo and gives a sample of what gameplay will be like in the final game. We are still testing and tweaking the game, so expect regular updates. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3372730/Vespia_Shield_of_Aberration_Demo We are currently working on testing new features for the game, including an endless mode where you can unlock cards and upgrades between waves. We take all feedback into account, if you play the demo please leave feedback by clicking the feedback link!

Hey Everyone! We are currently hard at work with getting new content into the game, and with the help of our playtesters, we have a lot of feedback to cover! Here is a small snippet of some content we are currently working on!
Spirits
One issue we are having in our playtests is that players have nothing to do once they fully upgrade their characters. To address this, we are working to add spirits to the game. Spirits have the following behaviours:
- Spirits function similar to normal wizards, in that they can be given spells and upgraded.
- Spirits cost flux to maintain, if you don't have enough at the end of the wave then some spirits will disappear.
Minions: Golems
Minions are a summonable friendly entity which will move around the map and attack enemies. They have their own health pool, can be attacked and will die when they take sufficient damage. Minions are summonable through the card deck.
Improving Health
In the next update, we plan to improve how the player takes damage. Currently, when an enemy reaches your neutraliser, they disappear and you lose health. We plan to change this so that enemies will instead continuously attack the goal until they are destroyed, allowing each enemy to hit the goal multiple times.
Demo
We are working hard to get the demo out to players. The demo will be an early-access build of the game which we aim to use to gather more feedback and improve before the release of the final game. We want the final game to be perfect, and releasing an early-access demo is the best way for us to achieve this. If you don't want to play the game early, then we recommend you wishlist the game and wait for the full release.
