We've just updated the game to version 1.0.8. This includes a change to the Sticky Rocket item, which will now detach any platforms that get stuck to them.
Full changes below:

  • You can now cancel a slingshot by releasing your grab with one hand.

  • Update v1.0.7: Sudden Death!

    We've just updated the game to version 1.0.7. This patch includes a new Sudden Death mechanic that many of you have been asking for. After a configurable amount of time (or never if you want to disable the feature), a circle will start closing in on the center of the screen. It will devour the map and eventually all players in it, forcing players to stop stalling and jump into combat to have a chance to win the round.
    Full patch notes:

    • Added a configurable sudden death timer. When the time runs out, a damaging circle will starting closing in on the map and eventually eliminate all remaining players.
    • Made some small tweaks to a number of levels.
    • Fixed a bug where ropes could not be split with an arrow on Hanging Hazards.
    • Fixed a bug where objects, or even other players, would sometimes get stuck to a player.

    Update v1.0.3 - v.1.0.5

    We've done a number of updates over the last few days, here are the combined patch notes for these changes:

    • Added a lobby setting for changing how much damage you take from going outside the screen's edge. This will now default to 50%, instead of the previous value of 100%.
    • Added a lobby setting for changing how much force the player bounces back with when leaving the screen's edge.
    • Changed time before a player starts regenerating health from 5 to 7.5 seconds.
    • Increased knockout time from 3.75 seconds to 5 seconds.
    • Changed health to regenerate at a speed of 25% health per second instead of regenerating instantly. This only applies to the regeneration that happens when avoiding taking damage for 7.5 seconds, you will still get back all health instantly when recovering from a knockout.
    • Added a preset option for playing with easier levels and lobby settings the first time you start a game.
    • Fixed a bug where you wouldn't always get a bronze medal in time trials even though you cleared the required time.
    • Fixed a bug where the join text in the lobby would not always disappear correctly.
    • Fixed an audio issue on maps with attached Oblinterator beams.
    Our main focus for these changes has been to make the game more friendly to beginners. We've selected out a few levels that are easier to get started with, which the game will now recommend the first time you start a lobby. We've also introduced an option to change how much damage you take from leaving the edge of the screen, which allows you to bounce back one or more times instead of the previous instant elimination.
    This will now default to 50%, which means you will survive falling out of the map once, but if you do it again before recovering your health you will be eliminated. We found this option makes the game much more focused on playing to defeat your enemies, rather than waiting for them to make a mistake. You can always change this option back to 100% however to go back to how the game was before. With these changes, we've also made some tweaks to decrease how fast you recover from a knockout and the health regeneration rate, to give players more time to throw out their opponents from the map after knocking them out or damaging them enough,

    Update v1.0.2

    The game has been updated with a number of improvements and smaller fixes based on player feedback from Next Fest:

    • Added a new and simpler tutorial to teach the basics of the game
    • Made some improvements to how aiming works while charging a throw
    • Added an option to make each hand have their own color, to help with distinguishing them
    • Fixed a memory leak

    The game has been updated with a few minor tweaks and bug fixes:

    • The grenade launcher now has a charging animation and sound
    • Removed some platforms from the Blasting Beams level
    • Fixed an issue where the "spawn item" button in the lobby settings menu would sometimes trigger more than once
    • Fixed an issue that sometimes made it hard to grab a weapon that was on top of a climbable platform

    Update v1.0.0: Public Lobbies and New Levels!

    Happy Next Fest everyone! We are participating with our demo, and have an exciting update to bring you. To help new players more easily find people to play with, we're enabling public lobbies in our demo for the duration of this week. We have also replaced 6 of the 12 demo levels with fresh new ones from the full game. Enjoy! Full changes below:

    • 6 of the 12 demo levels have been replaced with new ones from the full game
    • Public lobbies will be available in the demo up until the end of this week (March 2nd)
    • The tutorial time trials have been slightly redesigned to be a little more welcoming to new players, and the leaderboards have been reset

    Update v0.2.0: Time Trials!

    In celebration of participating in the Steam Couch Co-Op Fest, we're releasing a new update and adding the Time Trials mode to the demo! These will include the first 5 levels, which also acts as a tutorial for new players. Your will be able to compete against other players on the leaderboards to see who can get the fastest completion times, and earn shiny stars to show off your accomplishments! We urge you to try to beat our best times. The time trials can be played either alone or with up to 4 players locally/online, but keep in mind that they have mostly been designed for solo-play.     Update v0.1.6

    The demo has been updated with the following changes:

    • Were temporarily removing the off-screen indicators, due to them being the culprit for the crashes that have been happening since our v0.1.4 update. The crash is caused by a bug outside of our direct control in the Godot game engine. We will be waiting for the next engine update (where this bug has reportedly been fixed) before enabling this feature again.
    • Weve introduced a round draw mechanic - if the last remaining players die around the same time, the round will end up as a draw with no player receiving a score.
    • You can now choose a color for your Oblin while spawning into the lobby.
    • Indicators that help you differentiate between your left and right hands can now be enabled as an option when spawning into the lobby .
    • The lobby settings now have an option for filtering which items can spawn into the level while playing, and you can also spawn any of these items into the lobby to play around with them.
    • Weve added a geometry detail graphics setting to further give control over the performance of the game. Additionally, theres a now a graphics presets setting to more easily work with all the graphics settings.
    • Weve made some tweaks to how grabbing objects work while in the air, to reduce missed grabs of ropes and platforms while already holding another weapon.
    • Slingshot charging speed and power has been tweaked.
    • The Oblinterator will now overheat when used continuously for too long, and requires some time to cool down before being usable again.
    • You can now use the WASD keyboard keys to control the movement of your hands.

    Update v0.1.4

    The demo has been updated with the following changes:

    • The position of physics objects are no longer capped to updating at 60 FPS, resulting in much smoother gameplay on higher refresh rates, and less stuttering across the board.
    • Player movement has been changed slightly to feel more snappy.
    • An off-screen indicator has been added to help the player orient themselves while out of bounds.
    • Players can now perform simple facial emotes using the d-pad on the controller, or number keys 1-4 on the keyboard.
    • Holding towards any direction while waiting for the player to spawn into the level will now give a small boost towards that direction.
    • The Oblinterator (laser beam gun) now has a slight homing effect on other players.
    • We've made some tweaks to how weapons are controlled to further make them easier to aim at your desired target.

    The demo has been updated with the following changes:

    • Two new levels added to the demo.
    • New mechanic: Body Slam! By reaching sufficient velocity and holding the action button. you can now perform a Body Slam, generating a small explosion upon impact.
    • A level selector can be found in the lobby settings.
    • New backgrounds, replacing the old ones.
    • Platforms have been redesigned. Climbable platforms now feature a surrounding railing, making them easier to distinguish.
    • Nitro Crate, a green crate that explodes on impact.

    • Spawn points. You now get a second or two to find your player color when a new level starts.

    Item Spotlight: The Hammer

    Today we're taking a look at one of the upcoming weapons that will be included with the full game: The Hammer!

    Slam your opponents



    The most obvious use case for the hammer is to of course slam it hard into your friends to knock them out. You can even set up powerful combos with it!

    Hurl your hammer



    Your opponents will of course run away from you out of fear when they see you pick up that mighty hammer, so sometimes you'll have to engage in long-range tactics and hurl the hammer like Thor.

    Aerial mobility



    Slamming the hammer in mid-air also gives an extra upwards boost that can be used to zip around all over the map to reach the target you're hunting.

    We've introduced a couple graphic options that you can tune down to increase performance on lower-end devices.

    Balloon Changes


    Balloons will now deflate after hanging on to them for a while so you can't fly around forever.

    Tweaks and Bug Fixes


    • Player positions are now shuffled in each round
    • Added one more track to the game's soundtrack
    • Fixed a bug where the wrong player would get the victory at the end of a Deatmatch round
    • Fixed a bug where a player would be knocked out forever after being stuck to a Sticky Rocket

    Oblin Party is a physics-based 2D party party brawler where you have direct control over your two hands. You can use your elastic arms to swing, slingshot, and parkour around the highly dynamic and chaotic maps. The game can be played with 2-4 players locally or online.



    Use physics to your advantage to outwit your friends and force them off the map to secure your victory. If fist fights aren’t your style, try picking up a powerful weapon instead to do the heavy lifting for you.



    Everything is affected by the game’s physics engine, and the maps fully react to the battle that is being fought on them. There is never a dull moment as you try to carry out your approach to take down your adversaries.



    Attach an Oblinterator to the Sticky Rocket and watch absolute chaos unfold, or punch a rocket in midair and see it reverse back at its original shooter. Get creative and bend the emergent mayhem in your favor to stand victorious.



    While the chaotic nature of the game welcomes players of all skill levels, there’s still room to practice to become a true master of maneuvering elegantly around the battlefield.
