RymdResa Stability Patch!
It has been a while, much have happened in the operative landscape since we released the game. Windows 11 is now a thing, Steamdeck exist, Mac requires 64Bit. 50 steam SDK patches has transpired. This patch includes mostly stability fixes to support the moving target of modern operative systems. And Steamdeck support! RymdResa now runs on steamdeck. Steamdeck users can now run the game through default Proton. Some of the main blocker for this has been our setup with save/load files and game asset loading strangely. It should now just work.
Windows 11
The game now behaves a little better with updated runtime.
Mac
We now have 64 universal mac builds, so in theory that should work on all kinds of mac until there is a new architecture again.
Linux hackers
The game has been working on Linux for some time now, but launching it through Linux Steam has been flaking over the years. The old workaround to start the ./Rymdresa binary directly from the terminal is the safest way to run without steam. Another hack is to simply run it Big screen mode that will trigger the game to run with Proton
What is next??
We are focusing on our new next game Lunar Soil Join our PlayTests and wishlist it. https://store.steampowered.com/app/823210/Lunar_Soil/

Lunar Soil - Game Jam
We are trying or best to finish Vast Void but we love to explore technical solutions, we played around a little-bit with Lunar Soil and some multiplayer concepts. We got a rudimentary little build working with cross-platform multiplayer between android, iOS, Mac, win and switch.
Two players on different network running around on the purple fields in the Sulfur Crater, Lunar Soil.
We've released a new translation document:TheMissions!
You can reach all the translation documents here
Here's the missions UI inRymdResa! The missions UI inVast Voidwill probably look a little different; however, the content will be the same.
Translation documents
We currently gotnine parts available for translation: Diary Pods- The pilots main voiced narrative. Exploration Quests- The quests you get when exploring an entity in space (like a planet, galaxy, etc.). These have the most complex translation structure, as each quest can have different outcomes. Special Quests- The chapter 1 goal texts. These got a much more manageable structure than the exploration quests. The Easter Egg Riddles- Our precious Easter Eggs, containing riddles for the player to answer. The Burnt Ship Voice Log- One of the side quests containing avoice log. The smallest document of them all. =) The Year Event Stories- All Year Events in the game where players are presented with a short story and get to choose among different rewards. The Researchable Upgrades-Our researchable upgrades; all of them having a title and a short description). Consumable Items- These are all the consumable items which the player can find in space. They all got a title and a short description. Missions - All the missions the player can accomplish in the game. There're still some parts remaining like for example the Boss Battles, UI, regular Items' description - we're hoping to release them soon! =) Thank you for all the amazing help we've gotten so far! <3

Let's talk game localization!
Vast Void (which we presented last week) will be released in English. And we're currently looking at translating the game to other languages as well. But is game localization something you consider important?
We created a poll in this week's blog post; go and and vote and let us know your thoughts:

What is Vast Void ????
Hey! We're making Vast Void!
Some of you may have noticed that the graphical assets, logo and style for the game looks a lot like RymdResa. If so; yeah! Good design eye there! Kudos to you!
Omg what happened to Lunar Soil? What's this void stuff? Who're you anyway? Where're we going?? What's going on??
Some of the questions minus the existential onces are answered in this new shiny blogpost about this newish game.
Fear not about the faith of Lunar Soil though, we have a gameplan.
Come over here and read about it.
It's hacking time!
Our little terminal game-experiment is now available for free on the site.
We wrote a blog post about it here:
https://morgondag.io/blogs/morgondag/cryp70n1c-now-available-for-free
We made an experimental little console thing, a custom terminal with some commands and things to figure out, we recommend that you try solving the backdoor command in the lobby.
The game uses some experimental online features so this freebie will only be available for Windows, sorry Mac & Linux beards.
We made a new mini-game! A pixelart and chip-tune inspired rhythm game!

- Mobile port is in development, iOS is our current test target.
- Console ports are in development with Xbox One as the first target.
We got two great news for you: 1. The RymdResa soundtrack is now available here on Steam! Yey! :D 2. We’re searching for RymdResa Linux beta testers. Sign up over Here if you’re interested to help us test the Linux version of RymdResa! :D Moreover we've made some fixes, included in patch 1.2.1 :-) - The savefile is now located in your user directory (home directory on Mac) This file is now loaded at start if it exist (filename save.rymdresa). Old data will be loaded as first priority, after that the savefile should kick into effect. A savefile editor, would need to decrypt the file with the hex buffer 85CE6CCF67FBBAA8BB13479C3A6E084D in order to parse the data. Take that as a challenge! :P - Material collection and drop off are now calculated correctly. - Corrected minor typos. - Mission data calculation for completing researches is no longer triggered twice. - Disabling keyboard now disables keyboard in game! Hooray! We are still looking into more community reported issues and some larger mac issues. Screen resolution options and larger 4k screen modes are something we are looking closer at now. Thank you for reporting issues and bugs you find, helping us to make the RymdResa experience even better! <3 When we receive a bug we always try to reproduce and fix it as soon as possible - it's an ongoing work. Also, let us know what you want to see in space! :-)
We added a new secret to RymdResa! The achievement Brightest Of Lights holds this secret! Fixes - Lowered the amounts of star XP bonus from scouring. - Lowered material bonus from scouring. - Lowered the amount of resources gained from survival. - Greatly lowered bonuses from stars. - Increased the damage of mines, evil stars and laser bots. - Increased the potential damage of stones. - Fixed some minor typos. - Decreased the material collection bonus. - Increased level up threshold. - Increased spawn rates of researches. - Increased spawn rates of the rare Black Hole. - Added missing steam achievements. - Fixed a bug that potentially wipes data.
“The world's most relaxed roguelike“ is now available!! Right now we're working hard on porting the game to other platforms, we also want to make content patches, and have some really fantastic plans! Enjoy your death in space!
Danielle Riendeau and Charlie Hall from Polygon made a really nice preview of RymdResa. Check it out here: http://www.polygon.com/2015/8/11/9133133/rymdresa-gameplay-video-roguelike-space-exploration
18 days to release! :D The last week we've been working with marketing mostly. We have tried to reach out to journalists and youtubers, and will continue to do so. We've also blended the stars to better fit the background zones and added the velocity in the UI, so the players get better feedback on how fast they're traveling. Moreover we've fixed some minor bugs. :)
We are proud to announce that RymdResa will be released on Steam (for Windows and Mac) August 20, 2015. RymdResa will cost 11.99 USD. Later on we'll also release RymdResa for Xbox One, WiiU, iPad and Linux!

When home is no more...
Resources are sparse. The world is infinite and unknown. The universe is lonely, open and unforgiving.
You're drifting, in a big, empty and silent space. Searching for a new home. You know a few coordinates to some random locations; but this is the only information you got.
RymdResa is a challenging and evolving space adventure, based on randomness, with RPG elements. Abstract story elements and art are expressed throughout a lonesome and calm journey in space.
Travel through a mysterious cosmos, deep and beyond. Discover the solitude of space! Customize your ship, explore and survive in the retro stylized world of RymdResa.

★ Procedural World
★ Randomized Loot
★ Customizations

Solitude of space
The universe is lonely, open and unforgiving, but that doesn't mean it isn't peaceful. We have tried to create a place for relaxation and beauty.
Procedural World
The world is infinite and different every time you play, with over 300 different objects to discover and explore; like planets, stars and spaceships.
Randomized Loot
There is a large amount of different item types you can find to enhance your ship. These are randomized. Try to get legendary items!
Ship Customization
There are 8 ships in RymdResa. Every ship has in total 8 item slots, whereof 2 are unlockable. You can find different styles, auras, engines and other improvements.
Pilot Level
Level up to become a master pilot! Choose orientation, focus on exploring, scouring, survival or technology.
Upgrades
Discover a set of several different upgrades, like researches and different worlds enhancements; why not for example unlock the shield as an item type or see moons in space?
3 Chapters
RymdResa is an evolving space adventure. Each chapter has unique gameplay and a unique narrative. Chapter 3 is set in a new universe!
Beautiful Art
Poetry, peace and art. Explore and enjoy a big set of visuals, crafted with RymdResa's art style; pixelart mixed with a posterized style combined with a strict color pallet.
Original Soundtrack
Every ship has a custom soundtrack enhancing the world around it. Two musicians: Tom Croke and Pat Jacobs created the soundtrack with their vision of the game.
Voiced Story
A poetic voice log from the pilot describing a great loss, xir thoughts and feelings. Abstract fragments discussing xir past, present and future.
Nonviolent
We didn't want to create yet another space-shooter, with laser-beams and exploding aliens. In RymdResa the game play is peaceful, passive and relaxing.
