Greetings, fellow leaders! The day has finally come, allow us to officially announce that Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond leaves Early Access today and launches as a full game, being 20% off at launch. [previewyoutube=gZJraraQprQ;full][/previewyoutube] First of all, we'd like to start with a huge "thank you" to every single one of you for taking part in the Early Access journey, whether it was by purchasing the game, participating in the Open Beta, writing a review here on Steam or simply sharing your comments on the forums. It is you, our community, that helped us get through and shape the game. Now to the full launch itself. The game features a whole host of new content and updates for its 1.0 launch today. These include:

  • A new "Climate War" scenario, in which the world faces a wave of climate disasters, eventually leading to a new type of wars to emerge, with countries fighting for basic resources and survival.
  • Finalized Leadership mechanic, letting players develop their Head of State and other members of the cabinet as they gain experience.
  • Various quality of life features, improvements and bugfixes based on community feedback, including the Timeline review, in which players can see how successful their reign has been, new combat balancing and changes to trade functionality, among others.
  • Localization to German, Spanish, French, Polish, Simplified Chinese and Russian languages.
  • Option to utilise the cash reserves to purchase the main resources at market prices.
Besides that, weve implemented tons of fixes and changes, including updates of the difficulty levels. The full Change Log can be found below the article. One thing that deserves your special attention is the video tutorial for the game you can launch it either by following this link or in-game by clicking the first icon at the bottom of the screen, which then opens the video on YouTube in your browser. DISCLAIMER: During the playtests, we've noticed a rare crash that can happen to some players when they start a new game, then go to the main menu and then change the language of the game. In case this crash happens to you, simply launch the game again and everything will work just fine. The journey is still not over, though, we will be closely monitoring your feedback, whether it's on the Realpolitiks Discord server or here on Steam and we'd like to keep supporting the game for as long as needed, patching any bugs that may have slipped through our fingers and rebalancing the game, if necessary. Open Beta is Open!

Greetings, fellow leaders! The release date of the full version of Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond (April 24) is getting closer every day and we've prepared something special for you. Because we want the game to leave Early Access in as good and polished state as possible, we have just started an Open Beta of a version that contains most of the new content and features even before the full launch. We did our best to implement as much of our community's feedback as possible, but we would still like to know more, so that we can put final tweaks and polish on the game. We'll be closely monitoring any feedback and bug reports you post either here in the comments, in Steam Discussions or, preferably, on the Realpolitiks HQ Discord server; you can even contact the developers directly at contact@jujubee.pl - please don't be shy and share your thoughts with us! This Open Beta will last until Monday, April 14. To access it, head to your Steam Library, right-click Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond, left-click Properties, left-click Betas and from the drop-down menu select the option "Beta - public betatest in April". Your game will then update to the pre-final version. We can't wait to hear what you think!

Greetings, fellow leaders! The time has finally come for us to unveil the release date of Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond's full launch! The game will leave Early Access on April 24. For the full launch, you can expect even more content, such as the new "Climate War" scenario, in which the world faces a wave of climate disasters, eventually leading to a new type of wars to emerge, with countries fighting for basic resources and survival. Besides that, the Leadership mechanic has been finalized, letting players develop their Head of State and other members of the cabinet as they gain experience. The update itself will also include various quality of life features, improvements and bugfixes based on your feedback. Realpolitiks 3 | The Changing World Update is Out Now!

Greetings, fellow leaders! We bring excellent news - we have just released the second of our planned Early Access Content Updates, dubbed "The Changing World. As the name implies, it puts into your hands many tools and features allowing you to leave a mark on the Earth and other planets of our Solar system. For example, you will be able to liberate states, change the names of provinces and countries, move your capital and more! You will also be able to tackle the challenges posed by the ever-changing world by using new tools, such as enacting Martial Law for an immediate boost to your countries stability and lowered dissent among population, and the ability to bypass the parliament when setting up projects and actions, but your relations with other nations will suffer and the dissatisfaction of your population will grow for as long as martial law is in effect. You will also be able to use your influence to help (or harm) the new Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO's), which can provide useful bonuses, but also penalties, if their views are not aligned with your doctrines. As with most updates, we highly recommend starting a new campaign to enjoy the full range of new features, fixes and improvements, the list of which is available below. We can't wait to see what you think about the update, and how you will wield the new tools it places at your disposal!

Realpolitiks 3 | Fire and Brimstone Update Out Now!

Greetings, fellow leaders! With the Holiday season almost upon us, we would like to give all the Realpolitiks fans an early Christmas present - the first large Content Update for Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond, which is currently in Early Access. We call it the "Fire and Brimstone" Update, since what better way to celebrate the Holidays than by scorching the planet with nuclear fire?
But of course, our game is all about the freedom to choose how you want to rule - if you want to treat the world as a garden rather than a battlefield, the update brings new options for enacting environmental policies. Perhaps you will be able to save the Earth, rather than destroy it - the choice is yours!

New Features


  • Nuclear Weapons Mechanics: Manage, deploy, and respond to nuclear threats, introducing a new level of strategy to international conflicts.
  • DEFCON System: Track global tension levels and make decisions that impact your nations readiness for war (or peace).
  • Environmental Policies: Implement eco-friendly projects, manage pollution, and tackle global climate challenges to maintain a sustainable future.
Also as part of our seasonal celebration, we have decorated the main menu accordingly. Enjoy the Holiday mood, we will be taking the cosmic Christmas tree down shortly after New Year's, as is tradition!
And of course, we do our best to improve the technical state of the game with each update, big or small, and squash the various bugs that crawl from their hiding places when you report them!

Bug Fixes and Technical Improvements


  • Enabled the window of a given project to stay open after clicking on the maintenance cost of a project from the list in the economy overview window; also enabled the block window to stay open after clicking on the maintenance cost of a block
  • Improved the differentiation between single-province and all-province effects (previously these descriptions were identical and it was not clear whether they were for one or all provinces)
  • Added the ability to switch single-thread/multi-thread save mode in the game options
  • The game will now only display building effects categories (country perks or province perks) in the building details window when there is at least one effect from a given category (until now it displayed e.g. "Province perks:", with nothing under the header, which looked confusing)
  • Modifiers with 0 value are no longer displayed (e.g. "Unrest Target +0")
  • Added a description to the training limit change effect - it now displays the value of by what amount it changes this limit
  • Fixed the current Unrest Target value displayed in effect descriptions (it will no longer improperly show values in thousands of percents)
  • Fixed the name of the autosave file in Iron mode
  • Added technologies to the "show possible developments" tooltip (previously, only development projects were included)
  • Removed empty sections in the "show possible developments" tooltip (e.g. when there are no buildings or projects for a given value)
  • Removed the occasional double display of the percent sign in effect descriptions
  • Attempting to load an empty save game folder will now result in displaying information about an invalid save instead of causing a freeze
  • Fixed the behavior of hiding effects (until now the descriptions / effects of these hidden effects were visible to the player, although they should not have been)
  • Added the option to set different types of modifiers for the province population change effect
  • Fixed a bug where a naval officer would remain in battle state after a battle ended
  • Improved serialization of battles
  • Improved escaping from battles without reason
  • Fixed spawning of buildings or trees depending on game settings
  • Changed pathfinding for AI to not allow movement through territories they should not have access to

Realpolitiks 3 | Patch is Live! | First Content Update Coming Soon!

Greetings, fellow leaders! We have just released a new patch, to make your path to world domination in Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond even more enjoyable! As usual, we have fixed a lot of bugs that you've reported and added various quality of life improvements that you've requested. You'll find the full list of changes below. But before we get to that, we have one more piece of good news:

The "Fire and Brimstone" Content Update is coming soon!


That's right, the first big Early Access update is in the final phases of testing, and we are doing our best to deliver it to you before the holidays. So we wonder, World Leaders, have you been naughty? Because this year, Santa will not bring you coals, but NUKES! The upcoming update will feature many more bugfixes, tweaks and improvements, but the three flagship new features will be:
  • Nuclear Weapon Mechanics: Manage, deploy, and respond to nuclear threats, introducing a new level of strategy to international conflicts.
  • DEFCON System: Track global tension levels and make decisions that impact your nations readiness for war or peace.

We have also added new information tooltips, so it should now be easier for you to get your bearings in the game, whether you're a newcomer or a Grand Strategy veteran. Realpolitiks 3 | First Hotfix is Live & Early Access Roadmap Sneak Peek

Greetings, fellow leaders! Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond has been in Early Access for a little over a day now, and thanks to your feedback, we've already prepared a patch fixing various bugs, improving the optimization, adding quality of life features and overall making parts of the game clearer to understand - the full Change Log can be found below. We would recommend starting a new campaign in order to make sure all fixes are applied properly and that you get the best possible gameplay experience. Please continue giving us your feedback here in the comments, in the Steam discussions, or join the Realpolitiks HQ Discord - we need your input in order to make this the best grand strategy experience for you! We are already working on a next patch, as we would like to release hotfixes similar to this one about once a week; while these are a priority right now and our focus is on fixing any technical issues and making the current content playable as smoothly as possible for you, we have plans for bigger updates throughout the Early Access period as well. Those will bring new features that will give you an even wider variety of tools for ruling your country, the world and the Solar system. We would also like to address one significant point many of you have raised: Realpolitiks 3 is not designed to accurately simulate existing countries or their cultures. Instead, it is focused on providing a fun gameplay experience, letting you lead a country in a modern setting and rule it however you choose. To keep each playthrough fresh, countries are partially randomized at the start of every campaign. While borders, political systems, and overall power stay the same, the starting stats and policies will be different each time, providing new challenges and opportunities. We have included this clarification at the start of the game and in its store description - it was never our intention to create any different expectations. And now, without further ado, the full Change Log of our first Hotfix:

  • Set default autosave interval to 15 min (only for new users - the update does not overwrite existing settings profiles, but you can set your autosave interval in Options => Other)
  • Changed the name of "Realism" mode to "Standard" to avoid confusion
  • Added the initial character creator for standard mode
  • Added several new information tooltips to various windows
  • Improved several tooltips in the economy manager
  • Removed the ability to focus on the game, and to manually save the game during autosave, to prevent corrupt autosaves
  • Added protection against loading a corrupted save
  • Declaring war action is now possible for countries in the same political bloc (such as the UN)
  • Reduced the cost of maintaining a political bloc
  • Fixed air officer being blocked in some cases after ending a war
  • Fixed incorrect info on several projects in the Military Policy tree that claimed to modify "Population" instead of Unrest
  • The poorest countries will now start the game with a slightly better financial balance
  • Fixed a talent tree that was missing in some instances
  • Corrected a few typos in Main Menu and Credits
  • Fixed a bug preventing players from closing the Province window
  • Fixed a bug allowing values to exceed set minimums and maximums

Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond Will Launch Into Early Access on October 22

Greetings, fellow leaders! Today we have some important news for you. We are thrilled to announce that Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond will launch into Early Access on October 22! As of the Early Access launch, you will be able to pick from a range of 195 countries, and strive for domination of not just the Earth, but the entire Solar System in three different game modes:

  • Realism mode ties you to a world which runs very similarly to ours, with pacts dividing the world between several blocs (NATO, EU, etc.).
  • Overdrive mode offers a freedom of experience with all stats cranked up to extreme. With old order being just a flimsy excuse for an all-out brawl between the strongest. This mode is the only one available in the demo that's live right now, we hope you will give it a try and let us know what you think!
  • Sandbox mode lets you build up from the start and make any country your politician leads a success - and boy, is it a long and hard journey to the top.
A number of features and mechanics are already planned to be added during the Early Access period - with the final 1.0 launch expected to be released in the first half of 2025. These include the possibility to use weapons of mass destruction, implement martial law, the influence of pollution on the environment, different winning objectives for campaigns and much more - even overall different campaign scenarios and recreating historical countries. The developers are also planning to add more textual localizations to the game at full launch, including French, German, Spanish, Polish, Simplified Chinese and Russian. We will post a more detailed roadmap of our Early Access development at launch, but since we will rely heavily on your feedback, these are subject to change. However, the geopolitical landscape has evolved, and so has the way battles are fought in our game. In Realpolitiks 3, players will engage in land, air, orbital, and planetary warfare, marking a significant leap forward in strategic complexity and immersion. You can now deploy satellites, space stations, and defense platforms around any of these planets and moons. Whether defending Earth from orbital threats or expanding your presence in space to other planets, orbital warfare will require careful planning and technological superiority. Satellites can be used for espionage, gathering crucial intelligence on enemy movements across the solar system, while orbital lasers and kinetic weapons offer powerful tools for devastating attacks from space. Defensive platforms allow you to guard against enemy strikes and secure your presence in orbit, preventing other nations from gaining a technological or military edge. This new system emphasizes that victory in space can cripple a nations infrastructure, cutting off communications or disabling satellites. But the stakes have risen even further: controlling the orbit of the Moon, Mars, or even the Sun provides significant geopolitical advantages, as nations with dominance in these orbits can strike across the entire solar system. 4. Planetary Warfare: Expanding the Battlefield to the Solar System



Perhaps the most exciting addition is planetary warfare, where battles extend beyond Earth. In Realpolitiks 3, players can now engage in conflicts on other celestial bodies within our solar system, including Mars, the Moon, the Sun, and even the moons of other planets. Each of these environments presents its own challenges, with different resource availability, environmental hazards, and strategic considerations.

Dear World Leaders! We are here to bring you even more insights about the latest changes and expansions we've made to the political layer in Realpolitiks 3. Our goal was to create a more complex and realistic system of state management that allows you to dive even deeper into the world of global politics. We've prepared many new features that will change your approach to governing a country and making political decisions. Heres what you can expect in Realpolitiks 3. Political Systems In Realpolitiks 3, weve expanded the political systems, which now include five main parameters: Personal Control, Militarism, Interventionism, Religiousness, and Conservatism. Each of these parameters reflects the extent to which citizens are guided by a particular ideology. The values of these parameters can range from 0 to 100, meaning that society can be entirely opposed to an idea or fully embrace it. Political systems have a huge impact on how a country is governed. Each system offers unique bonuses and limitations, as well as access to special projects, events, and actions available only within that system. Moreover, in this part of the game, weve significantly increased the number of available political systems. In addition to the ones youre already familiar with, Realpolitiks 3 introduces new systems such as Military Junta, Empire, Elective Monarchy, Theocracy, Oligarchy, Communism, and many others. Each of these systems has its own unique rules about who holds power in the country and how the legislative process is managed. This allows you to tailor your governance style even more to your preferences and the situation in your country. Constitution The constitution in Realpolitiks 3 is one of the key elements of the gameplay. It determines the status of various laws and regulations in the country, such as voting rights, immigration policy, or issues related to slavery. Changing the constitution is a serious challenge that requires the approval of the parliament. Each change can lead to social unrest, and in extreme cases, even to revolution. Therefore, decisions related to the constitution will have a huge impact on the stability of the state and its future.
The constitution also affects relations with political parties, the level of discontent in society, and the availability of certain actions. For example, it may restrict or enable certain player actions, making effective management of the constitution crucial for successful governance. Ministries and Political Parties The government in Realpolitiks 3 is made up of not just institutions, but also their people the politicians who run the country. Each member of the government has unique traits and skills that can affect the functioning of the state. The effects of their actions are modified by the position they hold, meaning that the proper selection of ministers and other government members can significantly impact the efficiency of managing the country.
Weve also introduced a robust system of political parties in Realpolitiks 3. Each party has its political program based on a combination of the countrys internal parameters, such as Personal Control or Militarism. The closer these parameters align with a partys program, the more seats it will win in parliament during elections. Political parties have their preferences and goals, which may support or oppose the players decisions. Introducing certain decisions, such as declaring war or implementing specific projects, will require at least a 51% majority vote in parliament. The player can also lobby parties to sway them towards certain decisions, although this will cost both money and action points. Politicians and Their Ideologies Politicians in Realpolitiks 3 gain experience, which can be exchanged for new skills. These skills affect the entire country, bringing special effects or bonuses. However, politicians can also acquire negative traits and flaws that may complicate governance. The player will have to make tough decisions about whether to keep such politicians in power, especially if their flaws could harm the country. In totalitarian states, the situation can be even more complex, as some leaders, like kings or emperors, cannot be easily removed they will remain in power until their death, whether due to natural causes, enemy actions, or the actions of your allies.
Every politician in the game has a randomly assigned ideology that influences their decisions and development. In Realpolitiks 3, weve introduced many different ideologies, such as Democrat, Traditionalist, Populist, Man of the People, Patriot, Isolationist, and Chauvinist. Each of these ideologies has its own talent tree that can accelerate the acquisition of Destiny Points, change the direction of ideology development, or unlock additional Executive Orders. Politicians gain experience over time and by performing specific diplomatic actions, and the experience points earned can be used to unlock new talents. Way of Life and National Heritage The Way of Life in Realpolitiks 3 is a new system that defines the long-term attitudes and expectations of society. The Way of Life parameters are not directly linked to the current political system but rather reflect the direction in which society is heading. Politicians influence these parameters through their ideologies, and their modifiers determine the direction in which the Way of Life spectrum moves. Players can also use Destiny Points to unlock special talents from the National Heritage tree, which offer permanent bonuses for the entire game. Political Stability and Influence Political stability is a crucial parameter in Realpolitiks 3, reflecting the degree of internal order in the country. Stability affects the state through a series of modifiers, but it also serves as a condition that can either block or unlock access to certain actions. High stability means greater control over the country and less risk of unrest, while low stability can lead to chaos and destabilization. A country has a limited pool of Influence Points, which are used during the execution of a particular action and then released after its completion. In Realpolitiks 3, protests pose a real threat to the countrys stability and can lead to serious consequences. The player has several options to deal with protests: negotiations, delaying tactics, meeting demands, or pacification. Each of these options has its pros and cons, and the choice will depend on the political situation and the countrys constitution. If protests continue to grow and the player fails to control them, they can escalate into a revolution. Revolutions are one of the most drastic events that can completely change the balance of power in the country. They can lead to new elections, changes in the government, or even changes in the constitution. In extreme cases, revolutions can cause the collapse of the state and the rise of new political forces. In Realpolitiks 3, we've revolutionized the combat system. Units can now move freely across the map, with battles taking place along fronts in various provinces, allowing for a more strategic approach to military management. Air support can now be used to bolster your forces, and new possibilities are introduced with the inclusion of battles in Earth's orbit and on other planets. Prepare for new challenges, as you will now need to manage not only land, naval, and air forces, but also space armies! We've moved away from separate battlefields and micromanagement of units, focusing instead on grand strategic decisions that can determine the fate of entire nations.

The Role of the Head of State, Politicians, and Parties


In this version, the role of the head of state and other key political figures has been significantly expanded. Your leader can gain experience and new skills, becoming a more effective ruler over time. However, beware of character flaws that may impact your governing skills - will you manage a state led by a gambler or a less-than-brilliant leader? You can also hire specialists for your ministries to leverage their abilities and create political dynasties. Choose from 18 new political systems, including anarchy, technocracy, or military junta, and shape your government according to your vision.

Space Exploration and Colonization


Take your ambitions to new heights with the ability to colonize the Moon and other planets in our Solar System. We're bringing back the scope of colonization from the first Realpolitiks game, but in a completely new format. In addition to traditional military operations, you can now explore space, develop new technologies, and establish bases in interplanetary space. New Building System


Provincial development has taken on a new significance in Realpolitiks 3. You can now build multiple structures within a single province, depending on its level of development. New "Way of Life" Mechanic


We have introduced a new mechanic that defines a country's current "Way of Life." Points are earned by the head of state and government officials. Politicians now have a new parameterIdeology, which influences the "Way of Life" by steadily guiding the nation towards certain traits, such as authoritarianism or liberalism. These changes define the long-term development and policies of the state.

Realpolitiks 3 is not designed to accurately simulate existing countries or their cultures. Instead, it is focused on providing a fun gameplay experience, letting you lead a country in a modern setting and rule it however you choose. To keep each playthrough fresh, countries are partially randomized at the start of every campaign. While borders, political systems, and overall power stay the same, the starting stats and policies will be different each time, providing new challenges and opportunities.
