Nurikabe World is a relaxing logic puzzle game where you solve puzzles by creating islands and connecting rivers to create beautiful sceneries. Nurikabe World reimagines the classic Japanese pen-and-paper puzzle Nurikabe as a 3D game, where islands spring to life with trees and structures. Either play handcrafted puzzles, immerse yourself in the flow of infinitely generated maps or create and share your own puzzles with the integrated level editor.

In Nurikabe World, you create islands by placing water tiles. Each number must be separated into its own island with the indicated number of tiles. Completed islands will grow trees and other structures.

Getting started is easy, you only need to know a few rules to start playing!

Nurikabe World has puzzles of all sizes and difficulty levels. The crafted puzzles will take you through breezy 5x5 levels to 15x15 endurance-testing experiences and more. There are also a bunch of difficult smaller puzzles for bite-sized challenges.
Solving harder puzzles will require you to learn advanced solving techniques, which you'll learn along the way.

Nurikabe World has:

Hand-crafted puzzle campaign
Journey through a hand-crafted campaign with thematic sets of puzzles. The campaign is split into various difficulty levels and puzzle styles, ranging from simple tutorial maps to mind-bending puzzles. This mode offers a guided tour through Nurikabe World, teaching you valuable solving techniques on the way!
Infinite generation
Attain a flow state while solving an infinite stream of procedurally generated puzzles. Choose from a variety of puzzle generation algorithms and settings, either speeding through simple puzzles or embracing the chaotic difficulty spikes of unpredictable generation. Even though the hardest puzzles may feel impossible, every puzzle is guaranteed to have a unique solution!
Daily challenges
Not sure what to do? Solve the daily Nurikabe World puzzles. Each day there are three hand-curated puzzles with varying difficulty levels.

Patch 1.0.10
Due to the fixes to puzzles, partial progress will be lost on levels "Not Gamma", "Flip Flops?", "Switchboard?", "Varied Sprawl", and "No Lagoons". Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, we don't expect puzzles to be updated in the future, unless there are significant issues.
We are super happy with our launch and are so glad to see so many players and reviews already, thank you all so much!
Based on feedback and observations from players, we identified some issues that we thought were important enough to fix right after launch. These updates are now available in patch 1.0.10!
Changelist
- Adjusted the progression of the end of the campaign "Advance" (see below)
- Fixed multiple solutions in the following levels: "Not Gamma", "Flip Flops?", "Switchboard?", and "Varied Sprawl". Huge thanks to DireKrow for finding these!
- Fixed an issue in the level "No Lagoons", where the intended starting point had multiple solutions, leading to an unpleasant solving experience.
- Fixed an issue where the check button tutorial would activate in the first two levels.
- Tweaked Japan Winter water color to be darker for better visibility, especially for puzzles with holes.
Campaign changes
We found that the last few nodes in Advance had quite inconsistent difficulty, specifically some puzzles were significantly harder than expected. We have gathered all the extra-hard puzzles into a "Challenge" node, to make it clearer that they are extra challenging, even for the final campaign.Due to the fixes to puzzles, partial progress will be lost on levels "Not Gamma", "Flip Flops?", "Switchboard?", "Varied Sprawl", and "No Lagoons".
